i bought a used car which the dealer said is driven only 40000km . but later on the car started giving undue problems on getting checked at the authorised service station and later meeting the first owner,i came to know that it was sold to the dealer last month only and it was already driven more than 165000km when sold.

My car was recently totaled, and I would like to get my tag back so I don't have to pay for a new license plate and registration.

I wonder if anyone around, who has average (or indeed, above average or perhaps even fantastic) knowledge of what's inside car's bonnet (or "hood", as Americans would say).

While driving to work this morning, I'd shedload of smokes coming out of my bonnet/hood & the "arrow" was pointing on (or very close to) "hot".

I tried pouring 5 standard bottls of water but I don't think I'll be able to travel back home i.e. a distance of 15 miles.

Someone recommended me to have some sort of "radiator filler" & then to top the radiator with water.

If that's the case, what exactly should I be looking for in a shop & how do I go about using it. However, if that's not the case, I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I've got Suzuki Vitara 3 door.

Under the sub-heading "Washing Your Vehicle" is says: Do not use cleaning agents that are petroleum based, or that contain acid or abrasives". However, I just purchased a bottle of Rain Dance liquid wax and I noticed it contains Petroleum Distillates.

Are those two things the same? Is a car wax that contains Petroleum Distillates considered "Petroleum-based"? Does that mean I should not use this product on my brand new car?

Then again, I wondered, why would the maker of Rain Dance manufacture a product that would be harmful to any type of paint surface?

Anyway, your insights on this (those of you who are well versed in this subject) are very much appreciated. Thank you for taking a minute and have a pleasant Labor day weekend!

So since about 7th grade I have never had good luck on Friday th 13th, from fracturing my thumb, car accident with my parents, drinking sour chunky milk before i could realize it, to breaking my knee with many inbetween. I'm going on a 6 hour flight this year on Friday the 13th. Any advice? And what's your Friday the 13th story?

Do you think they shouldn't be allowed to drive after a certain age? I ask this because I was just driving behind an elderly man. He could barely see over the wheel, was going 10 mph in a 35, and almost caused about 2 accidents. What do you think? Should there be a cut off limit for drivers? Should we implement driving tests every year after a certain age?

I'm curious what everyone thinks about this.

P.S. I'm not saying all older drivers are bad.
