I don't think there is a governer on a ZTS. I know I had one up to 105 mph & no governer.
I didn't see the point of further 'testing' . I value my drivers liscense too much !

Your max speed is controled by a computer chip. Its best not to try and alter this because your car was not designed to go any faster than it was set to go. A lot of things are factored like, Brakes, tires, size of engine and transmission. What your engine and trans can handle and what your brakes were meant to handle.
If you want to make it go faster you will have to modify the brakes too.

Tecnically it is called a limiter, and I'm not sure whether J. C. Whitney offers a chip for that car or if it would be without a limiter or not. Mac tools makes a interactive diagnoses computer that is able to turn this off in a lot of applications so see if you can get a shop to turn it off for ya. you cant remove it,,its built in to the vehicles computer system on it,,it was designed to keep the engine from blowing up,,in the case that it gets revved up to high,,or someone misses shifting a gear,,i own a repair shop and i have a customer who has one,,they like it,but do not like the fact that it wont run wide open,but it was designed to be that way,it will help save the engine on it,,hope this help,s.

Do you seriously need to go that fast in your car? I don't know many people who feel like driving 175mph on the way to work.
