If you had a glass half full of water and added more water to fill it to the top, do you think that you would be drinking the water that's on top until you get to the half way mark and then start drinking the first half?
Not only does pumping gas into a tank mix the two gasoline's, but when you drive the car, the gas mixes when it sloshes around.

They should mix, unless one has higher density than the other, then it will sink after both fuels have been allowed to rest. It also depends on where your fuel intake is. This is usually at the bottom of the fuel tank, so this means the higher density fuel should be used first.

The correct answer is that when you added the other fuel, they mixed together. Thus, you will be using both at the same time. Different brands of gasoline don't stay separated.

Hope this helped.
