I have a 95 Saturn SC1. I've been having problems with it so I took it to the dealership. My check engine light was coming on and they said it was my TRANS BODY VALVE. They said it needs to be replaced. What is a trans body valve? Is it expensive? Should I just get another transmission?

Like I said - '97 Ford Taurus.

This has been going on for about a month or so - and been getting continuously worse. It's getting hard for me to shift out of drive...I have to jiggle the shifter for about 30 seconds, before it can shift into drive. Last night - it took about a minute and a half. I didn't drive the car at all today...but just tried it out - and it worked perfectly. So, it happens - then works fine. But, like I said, I think it's getting worse.

I have been told by quite a few people that I need a new transmission.

If so, then I think that I need to trade it in, before it gets completely messed up.

Please help!! I just put a bid in on the house....there's no way I can afford a new house and a newer/different car. Getting a new transmission would be dumb. 170,000 miles - 9 years old.

The MSRP including destination fee is $14,100.00. The invoice they showed me said $13,395, which included a $10.00 fee for fuel and a $115.00 fee for advertising, but was otherwise consistent with Edmunds and Consumer Reports, which was for $13,270.00. Neither invoice included the $251.00 holdback, which they admitted to receiving from Toyota. I negotiated down to $13,495.00 - $100.00 over their invoice and $225.00 over Edmunds/Consumer Reports. I wanted to go $100.00 lower, but they wouldn't budge, so I walked.

In addition, we want to trade-in a '98 Dodge Caravan with a busted A/C. Kelley Blue Book says $1,212.00. After some negotiating, I got them to $1,200.00, but they want to charge me a $199.00 "administration fee," so effectively, I'm getting $1,001.00 for a trade-in for which I'm thinking I ought to be getting $211.00 more.

I haven't bought yet. Is this a good deal?

My car has a problem. I am not very saavy when it comes to cars. My Legacy is idling really low. When in reverse she shakes. Literally the whole car is overcome with this shaking. The acceleration is pretty bad. its even worse when the A/C, Defogger, or heat is on. Occassionally she seems to run fine. Most of the time she doesn't. From what I guess, is it my spark plugs? They were changed about a year ago. The car also had a new radiator put in, and had a tune-up about a year ago also.

My 1996 Nissan Altima has been having problems with its speed sensor for two years now. I kept getting it replaced to no avail. Sometimes the check engine light comes on and off. Also, my speedometer needle does not go up when I accelerated only when I am goin at least 35 miles per hour. I hear Nissans have a tendency to have electrical problems. I don't know what to do. Should I replace the speed sensor, it doesn't do any good.

i purchased a car on finance in march 2006 and have problems with it from day 1. i told the car dealer and finance company about the problems, and have not been able to hardly use the car. it broke down in may and havent used it since, im still paying finance for it, each week, the finance company have had talks with the car dealer and they have just decided that i dont have to have the car back, they collected it just over a month ago to have it repaired because there is that many problems plus there is a question mark over the mileage. the car dealer said that the finance company could have there money back, and we could get out of the agreement and we could get our repayments back that we have paid so far. But they wont release the cheque to the finance company until we pay back £300 cashback that they gave us at the time of the deal. are they allowed to take it back and can i sue them for selling me a car that wasnt sold in the condition it was hopefully you can help. thanks

I've noticed that mjy radiator is leaking badly from the top, i can see the spot, so i know i need to get a new radiator. I was talking to one of my car friends, and he said to check if the fans turn on, and i just checked and they didn't turn on. I located the fuses for them, but i don't know how to check them, they are big box things that you can't see through. Do you think the fuses are the problem? What else should i check? How do i figure out if those big fuses are the problem? because i can't see through them. oh and the temperature reading on my dashboard has been normal, it still gives me the same reading that i have always had.

I've gotten my CV joint torn completely apart, balls, cage, etc, and need to get the axle that goes through the hub out in order to reinstall everything and drive my car again.
