If you can afford a Corvette, you will not mind $3.50 premium fuel. I own a Corvette and they are fun cars. A Z06 is FAST. It may be too much car for you to handle. The C6 body style is MUCH more attractive than the C5. The C5 fixed-roof coupes are some of the ugliest Corvettes ever made.

I've owned a Corvette, and the biggest problem with them is that when ANYTHING goes wrong with it, and you need service or a part, it's ALWAYS More Money just because it's a Corvette! For Example, someone swiped the Logo off the back, and to replace it cost me over $100.. and it was just a cheep piece of Aluminum!

I've driven corvettes and they have problems. Sure, they haul a**, but they sit so low unless you are on pristine streets (no potholes, bumps, nothing) they ride like crap. The inside is pretty tight, if you have a big friend forget it. You also have to remember that cops watch those cars close, so forget about having any fun. If you don't mind tickets, have a nice smooth road, get one they're fun, otherwise look at other cars before you spend all that cash.

There is absolutely no reason I wouldn't get one. I don't care if I have to sell my body, I will have a brand new Vette & a mint condition old Vette one day. I am just waiting to graduate from college; hence: job=money=Corvette=Brooke's happiness. I am a serious Corvette enthusiast, though.

Besides the price there's the fact that in an accident you are basically screwed. But they are nice looking cars and they are fast and handle well. So as with any other car there are advantages and disadvantages.

the only thing american makes are good for is suburbans and trucks. never buy an american sportscar, they are simply unimpressive. if you want to spend alot of money on a speedy car, go with an acura NSX or toyota supra, i would have said to get a lamborghini, but i dont think you want a spend a quartermillion
