Were there 2 cars used in the making of Smokey and the Bandit?

I've noticed in the close ups its an automatic but in the chase scenes u can clearly hear it shifting to high and low gears which to me says it was a stick..i was just wondering if anyone knew if they used 2 cars for the scenes

when ignition switch is turned on i have fuel flowing out my air intake breather hose. why?

when i try to start my 94 ford aerostar van it will not start and fuel begins to run out of the air intake breather hose. I have checked out all other areas and everything checks out ok. How likely is it that the fuel presure regulator is bad and does anyone have any other solutions?
