Just noticing that your average 50cc job (and generally those up to 125cc too) doesn't seem to stick around for long. You might see many new ones on sale for £1000 or £2000, and one or two barely used second hand ones for about 2/3rds that if you're lucky, but rarely anything too old (or cheap!) on the road or in the classifieds. I'd like to get one but that's the kind of money I'd currently spend on changing my car, rather than buying a bike to experiment with (and wouldn't like to see it all disappear if it becomes unsaleable in two years, or give up the car!). Am I just looking in the wrong places, or do they burn out irrepairably really quickly?
PS any reccomendations? And would it be best to go straight for a 125 rather than mucking about with a dangerously anaemic 50, as i'm in my 20s with a well-established license etc?

This bike came with cone filters. I have the original air box but it was obliterated. I like the look of the cone filters and it leaves a lot of room behind the heads. Is there a way to richen the fuel mixture by reducing the air flow somehow. Has anyone delt with this problem before? I'm open to suggestions. Fuel economy is my goal. This is a '79 XS750F Yamaha.

You know how we're always told to turn our wheels when we park on a hill? Yet I never hear anything about actual situations where a vehicles emergency brakes fail when parked, and it is really hard to find any info online about it. There's an RV parked directly across the street from me, up on a hill, and if the brakes fail it will end up in my house! Should I be worried?

I ride my motorcycle quite often and routinely find many people willing to tailgate freakishly close to my back tire. People do not understand they put people's lives in danger every time they tailgate. It seems people are in some sort of a rush to just eventually stop at the next red light. On average, nearly 45,000 people die each year in this country as a result of car accidents. I hope to not become a statistic at the hands of someone else that felt they had to be in a rush to go no where important.

its fuel injected. i stopped for gas, 2 miles down the road the truck stops. no warning, no lights, nothing. i figured it was water in the tank. i contacted a mechanic who told me to put the water remover stuff, tranni fluid, and a full tank of gas and it should run. i have done all that and it still wont start. another person said it could be plugged injectors and i would have to take it in to a shop. any ideas? anyone?
