Two things. Find a heat resistive paint as these parts get pretty hot when you apply brakes. Chose your colour carefully as it is hard to remove after painting. But my advice is not to do this if you are into high speed stuff and bit of racing. Caliper is designed to dissipate heat. Some paint on them reduces this ability and will affect the braking efficiency (as oil gets hot and heat builds up). But if you are not into daredevil long haul racing - aye, go ahead and do it - as the loss of braking is very very minor.

why, if you do mean the brake calipers, then I suggest taking them off the car, so you don't get paint all over your brakes ( not good) & even if you do paint ur brake calipers, ( brake fluid is a great paint remover, so good luck with that

to do a good job and to ensure the paint stays on spray the callipers with a brake cleaner then wash with warm water dry off with compressed air and use a speacial paint by VHT called disc and drum paint i did it this way and the paint stayed on

Dupli-Color now offers a paint made just for this purpose, it is available at most parts stores.
