I'm looking to purchase a new Lexus RX330 that is a demo with approx. 650 miles on it. What kind of discount should I be looking at?

A demo is by no means a used car. 10-20% discount is absurd, never happens on highline. You should expect to pay right around invoice for the car. 650 miles is nothing, so i wouldn't expect to pay cost for that. Figure on a discount of 7% plus any applicable rebates, which there probably aren't any. And, there is nothing wrong with buying a demo.

If it has dealer plates on it, expect 3% below invoice for each month it was a demo. 650 miles isn't much, though, so don't expect a lot.

If it's been titled to the dealer with regular tags, expect at least 10% - 15% below invoice as it's now a used car.

Lexus are not discounted much; your mileage may vary.

Traditionally, a new car loses a significant portion of their value as soon as they are driven off the lot...possibly up to 20%. I would suggest that you should be looking at a minimum of $5k off the price.

Check www.nada.com. Demos are used cars.
