So I'm planning on picking up a 2001 Jeep Cherokee with 80k miles, and I'm a bit concerned with reliability. I've researched and it's either love or hate this thing.

I love the design, not having all these stupid gadgets and something I can use for my daily commute(70mi +/day).

My question for you Cherokee owners, is this reliable? Can I use this car without too much hassle other than basic maintanence and such? Please any buying advice? Thanks!

No I don't drive a hybrid and I'm not a hippie. But I don't drive a HUGE SUV.

But I do believe that the planet is getting warmer, either naturally or by emissions....

So I'm wondering if those who do drive big vehicles are concerned with what that vehicle is doing to the air, or to the economy of Arab nations. Or if they even think about such things....

Just curious. Honest answers appreciated....

I was talking to a mechanic the other day and he said not to use air pumps at gas stations. He said the air that they pump weakens your tires. Is this true? And if so, what kind of air is suppose to go into them?

my lame story: test drove a brand new ducati monster 620. hit a tree. the bike is damaged (not sure how much yet, it still runs and doesn't look to bad with quick once over). i had to buy it since i signed a test drive agreement before hand. What should i do wth it now? Try to pay more to fix it? Find a junkyard? Find a dealer that buys em for the good parts? I have no idea...

I was driving home and another car ran a red light and plowed right into my car. Her SUV was not insured, and my car was so old i didn't have collision insurance on it. My car is completely destroyed so i am not expecting to get it fixed.
I had to go to the hospital after the accident, and while I was very blessed not to be more injured than I am, the bills are really racking up and I feel like the person at fault should really be responsible for at least SOME of it.
Is taking this issue to court something that is worth the time/effort it will cost?

I've seen peoples motorcycles die on them in the streets. Their friends come over an they pushing the dead bike up to a good speed and the rider hits the switch and it starts. Does the bike need to be in neutral? And under what situations(bad battery, low gas) does this work?
