a small bay maybe more of a pond... then again you might want to start on something small like a river or stream... actuly better yet.. think... puddle.. and if your going to go puddle.. you might as well skip the jumping part and just driver though it.. unless you just washed your car in which case just skip the whole water thing.. until it rains...

With enough speed and the correct angle ramp, you could do it.

Several factors to consider:

1 Distance across the bay
2 Speed needed to make the jump
3 Landing

You would need to get to a great speed, and there is going to be one heck of an impact when you land. Your car will be a total loss, but that should not be a problem because you will have done enough damage to your body that you will not be able to drive for a good long time.

There is a difference between "can it be done?" and "should it be done?" In this case while it can be done in theory, it should not be!!
