When my wife and I went shopping for her new motorcycle, my 5' tall wife had similar concerns. We must have visited every motorcycle dealer on the west coast to find a bike that fit her properly.
She is now very happy to be riding a Suzuki Volusia 800 (Now sold as a Boulevard C-50.) It has the low seat height she needed, and the reliability I wanted. The Boulevard C-50 has shaft drive and fuel injection and has plenty of power for her and one of the kids to ride two-up and keep up with me and my BMW on the highway.

That really depends on what you like. Since you have some experience I would say go for something like the 883 Harley sportster or the 750 Honda shadow depending on your preferences. I have a friend that is 5'2" and she rides a 250 Honda rebel that she loves. I have a sister that is 5'3" and she rides a Harley sportster 883 and she is up grading it at the end of this year to a 1200 sportster.
Sit a few of the bikes that you like the style on and make sure to ask about lowering it so you can ride safely. Have fun and good motoring.

I'm 5' 3" and my personal choice is a GSXR 600. It's light but powerful and quick. But you can have any streetbike lowered. However I would look for one that you can at least almost touch on. I also know women who can't touch at all!!! They just only go down on one foot and push back you hard. Strong legs!!!!! I perfer to be able to touch almost flat footed, but thats just me. Basically my advice is find a bike that you LOVE and get it altered to fit you. Don't get a bike you don't love just cause it fits. You can always have changed made. Safe Riding!!!

If you're looking at a cruiser I'd go with the Honda Shadow VLX.
If a sportbike is more your liking, try sitting on a Buell XB Lighting cg. It's a low profile sportbike.

The Honda Magna would work for you. The original seat height is 28", which would still be a bit high for you, but you could get it dropped to about 26". That's what I did with mine - I'm 5'3, and while 28" was fine for me, I wanted it lowered to boost my confidence as I was learning.

The Honda Shadow VLX 600 is an excellent motorcycle. My wife inherited mine and rode it for years. .
The engine is balanced, its liquid cooled. The seat is low and the bike handles well and it looks stylish.
