agree with 3rd answer in addition if turbo let idle for at least 2 miniutes before shutting down, to let the turbo spool down and cool off to the point that residual oil dosn't trun to coke ,

Agree with first answer. Read the manuel. As a rough guide, chanfe engine oil before they lose oiliness and become viscous. Change air cleaner regularly, drain diesel filter water regularly ( what i mean by regularly is every 10000km and for air cleaner when it becomes clogged with dirt). What lills diesel engines is dust and poor oil. So when you see oil level next time, see if oil has not become tar! One other thing, when you start in the morning, leave it running for 30sec before taking off as engine oil needs to circulate and lubricate components inside (2min if a heavy engine). Good luck.

AS A RETIRED TRUCKER I FOUND THAT A GOOD GREASE AND ALL FILTER CHANGE AT AROUND ACERTAIN HOUR USAGE OR DEPENDING ON ENVIRONMENT @ DUST OR HEAVY HAULIN 500 TO 1000 HR PREVENTIVE MAINT
