The ABS system and the Traction control are connected, if both lights are giving fault, it could be an electrical problem.

If you changed the brake pads, your car will stop better now, but the pads will not effect the ABS system or the traction control(off track) system.

Have the ABS system checked!

May need to bleed the lines. First try this turn off the car for a couple of minuites. Make sure all accessories are off- radio, heater, lights, wipers, etc. Turn the ignition switch on without starting the motor and wait for a couple of minuits. This should remove any temporary error codes from the ecm and shut off the idiot light. If this don't work then plug in a code reader and erase all codes manually. Then if the light comes back on you still have something to fix. The most common of wich are bleeding the brake lines and re aligning the speed sensors on the wheels. they can be knocked out of whack sometimes when changing the pads. anything else you'd be better off outsourcing to a professional. Good luck.

Brake pads have nothing to do with the ABS/traction system so changing the pads was not going to correct the ABS system. The system has detected a problem at one of the wheels or the ABS pump at the master cylinder has a problem.

Reset the computer, try rmoving the positive cable or the red ecm fuse for about a minute or so. If that does the trick then your Ok, if not you may had a bad ABS sensor or ring.

the abs light has nothing to do with the brake pads...it's gonna be an electronic sensor, this one will definetly have to be checked by someone who knows what they are doing...
