The oil substitute relies upon on the gas equipment, petrol would desire to be around the12,000 miles substitute the oil and clear out. Diesel 6,000 miles substitute the oil, clear out and the gas clear out. this is see you later because of the fact the automobile isn't a severe overall performance variety. The miles would be a sprint severe yet whilst it has an entire historic previous with all the artwork accomplished on time shouldn`t be a topic yet back relies upon on the automobile stay far off from something French with that many miles regardless of the historic previous.

In an old car, every 3k miles. In new cars, every 6-10k.
The 3k or 3 month rule is obsolete. You won't get any extra life out of your car by chaning oil that often these days. After 3k miles it still offers the same protection it did to begin with.

Every 3000 miles or every 3 months..
By the way, I knew someone once that didn't KNOW the oil was supposed to be changed..... they went 14000 miles before they figured it out. The GUNK that came out of that engine looked like THICK molasses.

If you use natural oil, every 3000-4500 miles or every 6 months (whichever comes first). If you use synthetic oil, double those figures, but change the oil filter on the shorter schedule.

It depends on the car - the best place to check is your car's owner's manual; but as a general rule, every 3 months or 3000 miles.

3 months or 3,000 miles will do your car the most good. Most manufactures will recommend 7,500 miles but then again, they want to be able to sell you another new car quicker so there is a motive for that recommendation. I have never had any type of engine failure on a new vehicle that was changed 3/3,000.

I change mine every three thousand miles. Some people will say that is an extreme waste of oil. It is cheap insurance against premature engine wear.
But at the very least I would follow the schedule in the maintenance book in your glove box. Especially if you are under factory warranty. If they (the dealer) see that you are NOT following the schedule in the maintenance your warranty will be void, which could cost you thousands of dollars....

For optimal performance, you should check it regularly. When you wipe the dipstick on a rag/paper towel and it looks black. It needs changed. I typically change the oil in my vehicles every 800-1100 miles. I firmly beleive that you get out of your car/truck what you put into it. If you neglect it and only follow the manufacturers recommendations, that you won't get near the same life out of our car/truck. Common sense = long life for vehicles.

the automakers and the oil companies say that you should change your oil every 3000 miles or 3 months. but really that is a load of crap. you can at least 6000 or 6 months. be sure to check the dip stick from time to time, if it is really black, then change it. if it is a little darker carmel color, i should be fine.

alot depends on what kind of driving you do,,country roads (you may want to change it more often,,same goes if you tow things, campers, boats, etc.) manufactures say you can go longer on oil changes,,if you do a lot of highway driving,I'd go 3,000 to 3,500 miles(check the oil during that time if its an older car) always change the filter with an oil change!
