A few times. The most memorable time was when I was younger, helping my mom move her harp to a gig (she's a harpist). She had another gig immediately after that so we had to be ready to pack up and go the minute her gig ended. So of course I locked the keys in the van. They weren't in the ignition, they had somehow fallen out onto the floor mat beneath the steering wheel. I was so panicked, I didn't know what to do, because I only found this out about fifteen minutes before the end of her gig. The window of the van was rolled down about two inches. What I ended up doing was using my own key chain as a hook - I twisted one of the key links back on itself so that it was both a clip and a hook. The part that was a clip, I clipped onto a long branch, with the hook protruding out... then I fished the branch through the tiny opening and after much trial and error I somehow managed to hook the keys from the floor mat and fish them out! It was my greatest MacGyver moment ever. The keys had seemed so impossible to retrieve and now they were in my hands just as my mom appeared wheeling her harp towards me across the parking lot.

Been there, done that, too. Most of the times I have called home and had a spare key brought, or someone would come along with a jimmy stick (is that what you call it?) or a coat hanger and pop the lock. But once I locked them in a Cadillac and had no spare key for it. The door key had a chip and my hubby said it would cost more for a locksmith than to have his body shop friend fix a broken window, so he beat the window out. Ever TRIED to crack safety glass? Not easy. Not cheap either. So much for that one.

Now I know I answered this question and looking I see it wasn't there....must have not hit the SUBMIT button...lol
Locked myself out several times. Back then the inside of the doors still had fairly large knobs to open doors. So getting a coathanger (don't remember how or where) went in through the top of the driver's side window and unkooked the door. Worked every time, although a bit of fumbling and patience was required.
Now I carry a separate set of keys in my purse. That works just fine as long as I don't lock my purse in the car....lol

Locked the keys in while parked in a fire lane at a movie theater and the car's engine was still running! My purse and cell phone were in the car also. Had to panhandle for 50 cents to use a payphone and call a locksmith. Then I had to wait by my car for 45 minutes and endure all the strange looks and questions. Missed the movie, too, darn it!

yes 1 time. A friend took a coat hanger and got the lock pulled up. Ever since then I have carried a spare set. The car I have now has On Star so THEY can unlock it for me if I do it again.

Yes! I was on a date..and I locked them in my car after eating at an Arbys.
We had to call the police, and the policeman reluctantly got the car open.

Sure have - multiple times. First time, I was able to pop the lock with a coat hanger. Next couple of times, I was able to stop a police officer, and he used a slim jim. After that, I had to call the wife to bring the spare set to me.

My mother actually mangaged to not only lock her keys in the car but to lock them in with her car running. *throws her arms in the air* Who does that? Apparently she does. Lo and behold, she called someone who was able to help her out.
Einstein, I hate to admit this, *closes eyes and hangs head in double shame* she's done this TWICE. Ouch!
