I mean, I am not married so only have one single income. I also owe some debts like studnet loan, auto loan, and credit card debts. I live in Southern California where the house prices are pretty high. What do I do to better my chance for qualifying a mortgage. I do have good credit score.
Thanks!

**No advertiser or mortage officer post for business please, but just your knowledge of how to be qualify. Thanks!

My daughter found an advertised "pets ok" apartment in Boulder, CO, did not have a pet at the time, but made sure that they were ok to have because there have every intention to get one. The Property Management said yes, no problem, with a $200 deposit. They signed the lease..not having any pets, they just got 2 kittens and now the PM is saying they must get rid of them. It is a no-pet lease unless an addendum is attached, and there is no addendum since they didn't have the pets to begin with. Unfortunately the gal who original showed them the apt is not working there any more. This is a very old house with 3 apts in it, and one tenant does have a cat.....how can I proceed with this, they would not have rented this place in the first place is it was NO Pets..

For the past few years, I've been living at home (rent-free) which is good in that it allowed me to save money, but bad for other reasons.

Anyway, I'm looking to live elsewhere, but I'm looking for advice on what I should be considering. First off, I want to continue to live in NY (Queens, or Brooklyn). I'm a single guy in my mid-20's, not looking to get married or have kids in the near future (though I can't say that won't happen within the next 5 years, although it is doubtful). For the record, I make about $60K a year at a pretty stable job, and have a little over $65K in savings.

Now, if you were me, would you consider buying a house, a co-op, condo or would you rent?

I have a lot next door to my house; however I would need to set up water. I'm tring to figure the most economic way to go for me. Some one said I could splice into my own waterline and run it to the lot. I'm listening to all advice.
Thanks

I am paying $700 a month for a Apt right now. I like the location but there is no pool. There is one that I looked at over the weekend and its $750 bigger and has a pool. The problem I have is I want to stay under $900 a month for everything and this other place will put me at $940 to depending on the time of the year as high as $1000. Do you think I should just pay the little extra cause I like it better or stick to what I said when I started to look and stay under $900?

We put a contract on a house, got the inspection or appraisal, found out we needed to do some touch up painting, so we did. we are now waiting for the survey, my question is, after putting in 2 1/2 days of painting this house, can they come back and say we cant have the house. We have our approval from the mortage company, and just waiting for the survey, is there a chance some one could change there mind, and we do this painting for nothing.

For example, there will be 6 families living in the 2 hectre lot and also, if there is still land left, there will be a golf course. Would that be a good place? Would that place be big enough for the 6 families all related with each other to live in comfortably?

As part of my purchase contract I have spent $400 for a thorough home inspection of a duplex. Now that we learned of the termite infestation and wood rot, you'd think i'm out of there, but I'm still interested in the property IF, IF I can be sure to ELIMINATE the TERMITES & determine the extent of damage, and get ALL the rot taken care of at the SELLERS EXPENSE. How do I proceed?

Am I expecting too much? The seller seems to be prepared to correct the problems -- What's he best approach since we don't really know yet the extent of the damage.

will professional termite treatment really eliminate ALL termites currently infecting building, and keep new from attacking for a particular period of time?

My brother was murdered by his wife. She was convicted and sent too jail. I am administrator of my brothers estate. The house was jointly owned by both my brother and his wife. Prior too the murder, My brothers wife remorgaged the house for $150,000, the value of the house is apx.$300,000. The loan taken on the house is an adjustable rate, and I can no longer afford to pay the loan. I dont want to loose the only thing the children still have left. We live in Pennsylvania and my idea is to default on the loan and force the house into sheriff sale. I would then hope to bid and win the house through sheriff sale. I would like too know if what i am doing is legal, and what are my chances of winning the house back at sheriff sale.

1. House is owned by both the children and their mother.

2. Mother refuses too turn house over too children

3. Wrongfull death suit has been filed, (could take years)

4. Mortgage payment went from 1200 too 1700 in 18 month

Please help

Okay, we are renting a house in Mo and a little under two months ago, our house was flooded (along with almost 70 other peoples) and the landlord has been very nasty about the whole situation. They have NOT helped us clean the place. We ripped out the carpets, scrapped the floors, washed the walls, missed 4 days of work to attend meetings and clean the place up. And they are complaining because DHS, SEMA, RED CROSS and the city inspector is saying the walls and the insulation need replaced. They live in a brand new home over 4000 sq feet and have not been over but one day to bring over items to clean THEIR property. I feel like when I pay the rent this month, I should take those charges out of the amount. However, my husband and parents do not even though we have been unable to use that part of the house because all the above officials say the house is unacceptable. What would you do?

I bought half an acre lot in Lehigh Acres, Florida in 2005, when the big boom over there. I thought that the price was going to grow quickly and give me some return or maybe I decided to build a house for myself over there. I was really wrong. I paid 56000 for a lot that are now selling for less than 20000 with luck.
Now, I'm paying a mortgage and don't have any hopes. Some people say that the price will start to go high again. Some people say that it was a game that politicians were playing in that area to buy more and more cheap land. But I don't see a light. If I can't selll because I will be loosing too much money, what can I do? Also, if you have any experience in that area or in real estate, do you have any idea on the future?
Thanks
