I plan on moving to Phoenix, Arizona with my boyfriend next year. Currently we're looking for a decent, one bedroom apartment with a garage parking. I would also like to find a placed furnished but can't seem to find a good enough place so I'm thinking of moving into an unfurnished place. Problem is we won't be able to afford any of the expensive furniture I've been seeing online and such, and I'm not sure how Rent-a-center works. Can anyone help me figure out what to do, should I keep looking for a furnished place or does anyone know where I can get decent, cheap furniture?

I've stopped paying my 2 mortgages because I just can't
afford it anymore since one of them went up by a thousand
dollars. What can I expect my bank to do? I put my house
on the market even though it is ~$80,000.00 less than what
my combined mortgage is. My bank won't try to make me
pay part of the monthly mortgage will they? As I see it, if a partial
payment is the same as no payment as far as my credit
is concerned, then why should I even pay it? All of it
is going to interest. I want to wait it out until I can short
sell my house or foreclose and in the mean time, use the extra money to pay off some debt. Is this strategy sound?

One year ago this month we were lured into signing a lease on a property that was suppose to rent to own. I was told that we had to be in a lease a year before transfering it over to rent to own I was also told that the $6500 we have paid in rent would be counted torward the rent to own. However none of this has happened and I recently found out that the person that rented it to me is a real estate broker and he does not even own the house. What are my options Please Help! The only reason we signed the lease is because we were lied into it. I have documentation proving this.

I'm trying to help my mother-in-law buy a house. I'm skeptical about realty agents because the one I used when I bought my house seemed too shady.
He talked me into something that was more expensive than I wanted just so he could make a higher commission. I like my house, but it wasn't my first choice. The realtor seemed like he was refusing to show me cheaper properties. He also evaded certain questions. I was signed into a contract with him so I couldn't change my mind about dealing with him.
My mother-in-law is easily sold on things and I don't want her to get ripped off.
Has anyone reading this ever bought a house without using a realty agent. What the advantages and disadvantages of doing that? and do you have any regrets?

I'm always amazed at what some homes go for on the TV show "Flip This House". So I'm curious what part of the world do you live in, and what's the cheapest you can buy a house (not a condo)?

In Northern Kentucky you can find a decent home -- 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, might need updating but no major problems in a safe neighborhood for just under $100,000 -- of course there are other homes that can go for upwards of $300,000 and even million dollar homes. The less desirable areas, and more decrepit homes can go for as cheap as $15,000--$25,000.

Hello,
My lease ended September of last year and the landlord hadn't mentioned anything about renewal. Last month something happened and the landlady needed to get into the apartment and I just had my sister come stay with me (I have a 2 bedroom and its a temp situation she will be here until Dec/Jan). Well the landlady wasn't very happy about that. So she mentioned my lease needed to be renewed. A few days later I spoke with her husband and he mentioned that I had broken the lease since it said no subletting ( I always thought that meant that I move out and someone else moved in and i was charging them .. what is the true meaning??) but he was going to come by with new paper work on Friday and its already been a week. Can he evict me because of this??

I'm completely new to renting apartments and I was wondering if it is possible to being the lease in the middle of the month or do you have to wait till the first day of the coming month? And if it is possible, how often is it done and will I still have to pay for the enitre month or just half?

I have about $1000 at the most to put as down payment.
Since my income is limited, I can afford payments of 400-450 per month. (not including tax & insurance)
Amortized at 7% that's about a 64K house.
I live in the Midwest, so there are modest houses about that price.
Any suggestions on how to do this, or is continuing renting my best option?

I think the Guy is trying to Screw them. At 1st the sign outside said to be Auctioned Off, Then a Coulpe weeks Later the sign said For Sale By Owner. Then a Remax sign came into the yard. I seen red Flags But my Husband told me to leave it alone. So I did. But starting Out I was told they Were Leasing it then that would go toward a Down Payment. Started out at 750, Then 799.Then 800 then when they got the lease it was 810 I thought that was high but I was not gonna cause a Fight Then last night they met with a HUD loan financing Mortgage company and I was told the Payments would be 860.00 a month NOT FIXED.payment. It has never been inspected a friend of my sons told him it needs a new roof, It has 4 Layers of Shingles, The Roof Bows in several Places the floors are weak. If you walk through my grandsons Bedroom past his TV the stuff all falls into the floor. The girls bedroom windows are 6 inches shorted than the holes they put boards under them on the walls.
