I am on disability. I can tell you that there are some companies that will let you make sales calls for their company and pay your commissions in cash and not report it. These are usually privately owned companies who are one or two man operations. You can also work part time while on Social Security disability. In my state, I can make up to 800.00 per month without affecting my disability benefits. Check with your local SS office. He needs to find a finance company that will lock him into fixed rate, also, talk to the mortgage company and many times they will work with you even if you are deliquent. Its just that most people do not call and this causes the company to take further action as they assume the homeowner does not care.

You need to check with a professional, but I have a guy that works for me who gets partial disability and is able to earn up to $300 a week from me.
Beg the bank to change the mortgage into a fixed rate now before it gets any worse.

In Alberta, people on AISH (Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped) are only allowed to make a bare-bones income before their AISH cheque is deducted from.

Kind of unfair. I've got friends on AISH.
