Your mom could go back to school (the government may help her pay for her tuition), ask for a raise, ask for government assistance to buy a house, or start a small home business. It's hard to say since I don't know what your mother does.

Instead of looking at what your friends have and be jealous, try making the best of your current situation. Do you have food on the table? You have a roof over your head and you have your family.
How much does your mother work right now to be able to feed and clothe you? What kind of work does she do?
Don't stay in the glum, be happy with everything you DO have.
(It's easier said than done, but I have been in your situation and I came out stronger, and appreciative of the small things in life)

More $$$$ comes from having more skills ,
More training or more education .
When someone can do the difficult tasks ,
They usually get paid more .
She will have to try to get some kind of special training . ( based on her aptitude )
