A friend of mine wants to know if there is a way to receive assistance to help fix up his home. After he pays his mortgage loan and utilities, he doesn't have enough money to set aside to fix up his home. Are there places to find out if there are grants or programs to help first time homeowners fix up there home ?

I live on top of a grocery store and the bank is repossessing it cause of the owners inability to pay the mortgage. I've always paid my rent on time and i'm currently living alone with my 3 children ages 14,5,and 2. My husband is currently serving in Baghdad, Iraq. He's in the army, but the whole deal is that the owner told me this news about 1 month ago but he kept saying he was working on the problem but now hw says that i have to go before the sherriffs come and throw me out with all my stuff. I can't believe what's happening to us. I need some help. I need to know what my rights are as a tenant in Puerto Rico. Can I really get thrown into the street just like that. I'm really worried. I'm losing sleep over this. Need answers fast. This is a 911. Thank You for any help available and God Bless

My bf & I have been together almost 2 years, and we bought a house together about 2 months ago, and things haven't been going so well in our relationship, and the problem is we are both on the mortgage but I wanna break it off with him. So is there anything I can do to get off the mortgage and just let him keep the house?

I want to avoid the things that have to be thrown away if I don't see many people. (that's just a waste)

And, also any which I'd be better off avoiding altogether.

I'm hoping to find a combination of near the city (5-10 miles out) but semi-rural if possible.

Any recommendations, advice much appreciated cheers

I'm on a lease agreement with 3 others. I want to hand over my tenancy to someone else for the room I have. What can I do to make sure the person taking over my part of the lease pays the rent/deposit through the end of the lease agreement (ends August 31st). Please let me know if I can just make my own written agreement with someone for my room considering it is OK with the landlord. Thanks!

Is there a specific website that will tell me how long a house has been for sale? I know the realtor I was using was able to find out this information, but since I'm no longer using her, I would like to find out this information myself

Could someone please explain to me the difference between direct lender and broker. On the radio, lot of folks claim that they are a direct lender which they can make their own decisions. However, I keep thinking that a direct lender is someone big like BoA and WAMU
Thanks

We are near the end of our lease (it ends July 21st) for a condo we are renting. We are actually moved, mostly, into our new home, and our contract with them says they can show the house 30 days prior to the end of our lease, as long as they let us know. All this is fine.

But we were informed today that they are putting a lockbox on the door to our condo. For some reason, I thought that this was illegal to do, since we technically still are renting the unit for another month, besides that, we are still paying all utilities and still have several things in the condo and garage that we have not moved yet.

So, question is, are they allowed to do this?

I am a real estate agent in a very competitive market. I have been asked by a potential listing customer to provide a detailed 12-week marketing plan. How can I ensure that, should I lose the listing, the client doesn't hand over my marketing plan to the competition. I know I will be competiting with these other agents again in the future.

The landlord didn't want to fix the broken phone jack in the house said it was my resp. so will this fall under the same thing? I've looked online and can't find any info out. I'm attempting to fix the problem myself but I may need an exterminator. I need to know who should pay me or him?

I put an offer in on a house today, which was accepted. Tuesday we should find out for deffinate about the mortgage (we've got it we are just waiting to know if we have 100% or 105%). I am currently renting so I have nothing to sell on so can move as and when, I just need to know roughly how long a sale take to get to completion as I need to know when to give my notice to my landlord.

I owe 15 years on this house that I am tired of renting and need to sell it rather quickly. I have a lifelong friend who I trust very much and have agreed to sell him the house on monthly payments until he can get his credit cleaned up or a co-signer. Without going into a long story, his credit is in a mess because of his recent divorce from an ex-wife who ran up thousands of dollars of credit card bills, and other things shortly before she left him for another man. Anyway, I know I will get my money and I know he will eventually get all this cleared up, my question is... I want to protect myself and him by making up some kind of contract that we can each sign and have notorized. What kind of information do I need to include in this? I want a fair contract that protects the BOTH of us. Please offer suggestions. Oh and please, no answers involving NOT selling the house in this manner. I am going to do this, I just need to know how to draw this up. Thank you.

I have been living with my (now ex) boyfriend for 2 1/2 years. We have a lease together for a house and we live in Texas. We broke up a month ago and now he says I have to move out. He is the primary lease holder but I am on there as a tenant. He says he doesn't need my signature to make me leave. I read the Texas eviction laws but I'm still a little confused. Just because we broke up doesn't mean he has the right to kick me out does it? He has threatened to change the locks on our house so I can't get it. This is all total bullshit right? Anyone with legal knowledge please help me! I can't afford to live on my own yet.
