I am looking to eventually buy a house with my fiance, I am totally clueless about the whole situation. I know how much we can afford, but where do I go, who do I talk to, etc?

What would be a reasonable cost for having 5 acres surveyed? The land already has some survey posts marked and the whole south side of the land I am purchasing is clearly marked.

My husband and I bought a home about 2 years ago, the market dropped big and our home has depreciated. We purchased the house for $305,000 and at the moment at best we could sell for $270,000. My husband and I need to relocate for new jobs and our house feels like a black whole. How can we sell with out killing out credit?

We live in Hawaii and our mortgage has become unmanageable. We just found out our house is worth 64k less than we owe. We have good credit though are overextended because of mortgage. No defaults and one 30 day late pay. We want to sell but do not have the credit left to get a 64k loan to pay off the rest of the loan. We desperately do not want to go into foreclosure. Any options anyone is aware of?

They are staying with us for at least 4 months while my brother in law is serving our country over seas. I've called my HOA to try to get them pool passes and they want $200 each for the 4 month period. I wouldn't mind paying some, but come on! Has anyone been through anything like this? Any ideas as to what I shoud say to get around the monster fee?? All help is greatly appreciated!

What are some good questions to ask a realtor before I list a house with them?

My landlord is telling me that she needs to be added to me & my wife's contents insurance policy as an "interested party". I have serious doubts over this as I don't know if this then allows her to make claims on my policy without my intervention. I especially find this to be a dubious request as the property is also being managed by a property management company.

This question is for UK people because I have been led to understand that our laws in these areas are very different to mainland European and American laws.

I was in a situation where the seller's agent refused an offer without consulting the seller. I am under the impression that is against the law and am just seeking proof.

A reliable close friend of the family (close enough to actually be a member) is interested in a land contract with my home.

They were not approved for the full amount to purchase so we offered a land contract.
They just don't have enough credit established.

I have never been in this situation before. I trust them, I just wanted to hear someone else's experiences or thoughts on this.

Thanks! :)

My fiance and I moved into an apartment complex 11 days ago. We knew the building was old, but when we showed up, it seemed to be in good condition: beautiful location in a nice area of town and quiet and friendly.

For the 1st week, the only issue we had were kids. Yes, the downstairs neighbors have an excess of kids and they are NEVER inside. The kids come outside at 7:30am and don't go in until 11pm everyday. They're no louder than normal kids, but the constant noise is draining, especially for my fiance who works early.

We found another tenant digging through the trash 2 days later, which I informed the management about.

3 days after signing, the cockroaches started showing up. Two different species, they ranged from tiny to the size of my thumb. Management promised to spray within a week of moving in- they didn't. I'm usually home, so I think I would have seen them. The roaches are certainly not because of me: I am freakishly clean to avoid such problems.

I have lived in my property for 18 months. I have been diagnosed with cancer and am exhausted from the treatment so I found a house near my family. I am on a rolling month for month contract and have to give a months notice so I gave them a months notice in writing on the 15th June. The agents are now saying I can only give notice on a rent payment day and that I have to stay till 1st August as my rent is paid on the 1st of the month. Can they do this? I am effectively having to give a month and a halfs notice and I can't afford 2 rents as I have had to give up work due to my health.
I have informed the agents of my situation and they haven't even notified my landlord that I've asked to leave. Also they want me to pay a huge sum of money to leave early.
The boiler has now broken after they were told it needed replacing last year and my son and I could have no hot water or heating for up to a week while they order a spare part etc Do I have any rights here???

im buying a house and had a survey done on it.
the survey said it needs re-wired, is it up to the seller of the house to get it done before completion or is it up to the buyer to get it done??

I understand that higher credit card limits should increase your FICO score. For the sake of my question, let's assume that a minimum of that available credit is used, and a good credit history.

Why then, does TD Canada Trust's online calculator reduce one's available mortgage with an increase in credit card limit? I find that quite confusing and would really appreciate any insight that anyone might have.

Thank you in advance!

Or do I have to receive payments?
My assumption is that the buyer gets a mortgage loan from the bank and has to pay the bank back but the seller gets the full amount up front.

Is this true.

If I'm selling a home and someone submits a formal offer to buy it, do I have any obligations to them? I know that I don't have to accept their offer if it's not the highest offer, but do I have the right to accept a different, lower offer? Or, if the offer has contingencies on it, do I have the right to accept a different offer with fewer contingencies?

Hi, is it true that in San Francisco after a owner-move-in eviction, the property shall NEVER be rented out , regardless of how long ago it was evicted, or even after it's being sold to a third party?

My story : I've used owner-move-in as a reason to evit a tenant 4 years ago (i beleive the laws require the owner to stay there for 36 months). Recently, I've come across articles saying that unit shall never be rented out, not by myself, nor can be done so even after sold to a 3rd party? is this true?

Thanks
