to make a long story short I am selling my home rent to own. The man paid me a down payment of 2000 dollars along with the first month payment. I was going to make the contract out myself he wanted his attorney to do this. After months of waiting no contract so I made one in which he refused to sign although it was all we agreed to verbaly he later mailed me his version which was way off base. Refusing it I went to magistrate court to have him removed from home for not signig an agreement later I find not keeping grass cut no electricity in home or water. I went up to home to hand deliver a notice from city to cut over grown grass upon arrival found a mess with house the house was open I shut the windows and placed locked on basement (knocked off ) took pictures of the house being destroyed...do I have a right to bring these facts up in court along with original complaint or can I be in trouble for entering home to secure (did get court permission not in writting verbal) . thanks

And if so, would banmks or lenders let you borrow additional money to fix it up and make it livable?

I rent a home in NC and I pay $300 a month for rent. There is no written agreement at all only verbal. I recently came into a little money and I briefly spoke to my landlord about paying 6 months rent in advance but stated I did not know if I should and I would talk to my wife about it.

The landlord is now threating to kick us out because we simply wish to pay monthly instead of a lump sum.

From what I gathered from http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/EnactedLegislation/Statutes/HTML/ByChapter/Chapter_42.html

I cant be kicked out unless I do something bad, don't pay, or the landlord sells the home!

In your personal opinion what should we do and what could potential happen?

put a bid on a foreclosure house for 153 grand/bank signed on to a contract with me/today was the house inspection
He found that there was a lil structural damage on this 13 year old house in the one corner..one crack in wall..a few doors that didn't shut properly due to this shift.
The inspector suggested getting estimates and putting in some steel columns to prevent the one corner of the house from shifting again. He thought it shifted due to a waterline break or something like that.. the repair could run anywhere for 2 to 6 grand
there was evidence of termites..the house was build out of yellow pine..the termites didn't like the taste of the wood and left the house basically alone..termites are common in the midwest
The realitor had me sign a sheet tonight so he could renegoitate with the bank..ask them to repair the damage..
He thinks they will
what is your opinon? will they..and if not..would you still sign the final papers..the house is assessed at 175.

With the high cost of houses in Los Angeles, I have been wondering about the "rent to own" option. Does anyone have experience in this?

Ok I live in texas and have a question. My grandma is a widow and owns 5 acres and a house. I had wanted to buy one acre from her but was told by a lawyer that I could'nt because if they do they will stop her medicare or medicaid because she has money then. They say there is no way for me to buy it, is this true and also it is only like 2000 dollars that she wants for it? Does anybody have any idea of what I could do or do you know how excactly this works?

I stopped at my apartment for lunch. As I was walking to my door, my landlord (who lives in the same building) called me over to let me know he was going to replace the air filter in my apartment later that afternoon. Normally, my apartment is fine, but I had my kids over and they completely trashed the place. Panicked, I told my work I would be few hours longer and frantically straightened up everything.

If I had been given adequate notice, I would not have to have missed some work.

This is the first time this has happen. Already had her come in once when I wasn't home because I left a window open and she was afraid the rain might come in the apartment (which there is no way it would have (The upper half was open and it wasn't raining that hard.)

I just think she looks for excuses to be nosey.

I would move but the rent is really good for the area I live in. I miss living in a complex. They are really good about following rules and regulations.

I wonder if you know of any flat fee MLS listing services to sell a home in Newman, CA. Central Valley, CA.

Anything to know about using flat fee brokers vs. realtos?
Thanks.

My husband and I are beginning the process of buying our first home. We'll be setting up an appt. soon for a pre-approval to then begin looking at houses. I know that typically lenders approve for more than it is advised to borrow and I'm wondering if anyone can give me a good formula for about how much we'll qualify for vs. how much we should ideally not exceed - I've tried online calculators but they are all so different! We make 85000/year and have 700/month in debt. Also - since pre-approvals expire, if we don't find a house within the time frame given will we have to get pre-approved again? Thanks for your help!

I am looking into an apartment in northern New Jersey that happens to be offered up by a broker (with a nasty broker's fee). I made an attempt to contact the renter directly to work out some things with him outside of the broker's influence, and the broker took exception to that. I was unsuccessful in getting the renter's contact info. Now, I tried to contact the broker and asked them for the renter's contact info, and they refused to offer it even though I already filled out a renter's application.

What are my rights as a potential renter in speaking to the person offering the apartment directly?

hi, I have a reasonable amount of money to spend but I do not have 2million pounds. I was wondering on a rough estimate how much it would cost to build a house around 2million pounds. I already have a large area of land so I have plenty of room. Thanks a lot.

I'm thinking about buying a home in a bad neighborhood. I want to pay $12,000 for a 3 story in fair condition. I then plan on doing a lease option to someone. It does need a little fix up. I'm just wondering about the bad neighborhood if it will be a cash cow for me.

I live on a large farm right now. I recently got a free mobile home and I want to put it on one of the front lots I own. I recently had a site evaluation done for septic. What do I need to have the trailer on the property? Can I have it on there before the septic and well are ready, and just not live there?
Do I need placement or building permits? Both?
I'm trying to get this done asap so I can move out. Also, do I need to have this lot of land seperated from the rest of the farm? I live on about 50 acres.

If someone was planning on buying a condo in full (no mortgage needed, already has the exact amount in cash/check), would they still need a lawyer? And would they still do a credit check, esp if the buyer doesn't have credit or has bad credit?
