Sure, in most of the country. It may be a stretch in some of the largest cities such as NYC, LA, Chicago or San Francisco but in most of the country you can do OK on that budget.

Depending upon what city you live in, you can find that. I live in a town in Massachusetts where there is a mall and outlet center 5 miles in either direction. The local commuter rail is a 10 minute drive. I have a two bedroom/full kitchen/separate dining area all for $775.

If you look in the local paper, you'll have better luck. But if you are looking to relocate, then I'd look perhaps on craigslist.com

Most of the country yes, big citys or Washington D.C. have to say not likely, more like $2000 a Month.

I like in a nice one bedroom duplex for 500 a month so yes you can!

Of course. It all depends on where you want to live. Here in Lincoln, Nebraska you would have your pick of several nice areas for under $1000.00 per month.
