My ex boyfriend and I own a house together (we get along well and usually can work things out so that's a plus). He hasn't lived in the house for 2+ yrs and pays a minor portion of the monthly mortgage (him 150$ and I 800$). Since he has moved out I've delt with the roommates/housemate issues (we rented out some rooms in the house), delt with the house maintenance...etc. We may sell it in 3 yrs or I'll buy him out. Since he hasnt been paying 50/50 mortgage I dont think its fair if we split the equity 50/50. Are there any laws protecting me as I do live in the house and he lives out of state?

Then my lanlord raised the rent by 200 bucks a month, I did not move because at last minute I had nowhere to go, so now it's a bit harder be on time. I have only been late once in almost two years, and only by three days.

How likely do you think he would move up my rent due date by 6 days? I get paid the second Wednesday of the month from Social Security. (Kids dad died). Then I have my pay checks. But I need a few more days and am scared to ask him, how should I ask him?

So my lawyer tells me there is absolutely nothing we can do at this point. We had a Chap 13, but between the mortgage payments and the payments to the trustee, we couldn't make ends meet. So the Chap 13 was dismissed. now we have four weeks to find a place to live, he says. I want to try and refile the Chap 13 to buy some time, because we want to sell the house. Any thoughts?

I was looking for a new apartment and noticed that where I live I can buy a decent house for under 45,000 dollars. I added it all up and realized that a ten year term loan at about seven percent intrest would cost me hundreds of dollars less a month than what I am paying in rent right now. I figured I could live in it fix it up as I go along and five or so years down the road when I have gained some equity in the home sell it. I make about thirtyfive thousand dollars a year and have a credit score around the 680 area. I could put down about a fourthousand dollar downpayment. The only problem I am having right now is that I seriously need a new car, and I was going to have USAA bank cut me a blank check to purchase the vehicle. What do you think my chances are that I could buy a car, and then within a month or two try to purchase a 45,000 home? Do lenders consider age when buying a home? Would I be scrutinized for being under 25?

Thanks

We recently purchased a property in Boston, MA. We found a great agent that we liked, mainly because he told us that he was going to give us 25% of his commission at closing. It is now 3 months later and we have not received anything from our agent. He is not returning our calls and keep telling me via email that he will follow up with us and never does. We never signed anything stating the 25%; however we have saved all of the emails mentioning the 25% showing that we at least had a verbal contract. Is there anything that we can do to get our money from this real estate agent? Thanks!

Is it legal for a landlord to enter a tenants residence with out their knowledge? If not, what can you do if this has occurred?

....ie: a dwelling suspended from a balloon, something along the lines of a zeppelin...but brought up to date.

how do land-laws and air-space regulations resolve themselves..if someone wanted to permanently moor themselves somewhere....much like a a caravan in the air?

I want to sell my house, but we owe almost as much as the appraisal value. How can I unload the house quickly, and at least get what we owe on the mortgage?

Okay, I've checked into this, and pretty much know the answer, but I'm curious if there are any loopholes. Basically, we're moving out of state, and would like to know if there is any way we can keep the mortgage/payment we have now, while using the proceeds from the house we're selling now to pay off the one we're buying free and clear.

From what I understand, we cannot keep the mortgage we currently have if we move, but I'm just curious if there is any way around this?

My husband and I rent in Virginia. Our lease is up August 1st and we have not recieved copy of the new lease to review. I asked for it at the end of May and again today (6/23) . Our lease states that it has to be signed by July 1st. Our management company said again today that they will send it on Tuesday, 4 days from now, and we will have it by Wednesday. It has to be signed by Friday. Shouldn't we have a little more time to review it? Plus that gives us 2 days to take time off work to drive and meet the woman to sign it. What do I do?

I'm getting just a little frustrated here!!! So we put a bid on this bank owned property that has been on the market for a LONG time and we just hear back today that the bank doesn't want to deal with anyone that doesn't have their home sold yet. Our house is on the market and we put in our offer 'subject to our home being sold'. The homes in my neighborhood are selling within 45 days. I just don't get it - why would they pass an offer when it could be the only one they get! (the house isn't exactly in the prime location) This is the second time this has happened to us.
