Then my lanlord raised the rent by 200 bucks a month, I did not move because at last minute I had nowhere to go, so now it's a bit harder be on time. I have only been late once in almost two years, and only by three days.

How likely do you think he would move up my rent due date by 6 days? I get paid the second Wednesday of the month from Social Security. (Kids dad died). Then I have my pay checks. But I need a few more days and am scared to ask him, how should I ask him?

u have a valid reason. i think if u explain ur situation he would be more than willing to try and accomodate you, late rent is better than no rent at all.

Do not be afraid to ask. It sounds like you have been a good tenant, with only a few late items. However, if you are not a troublesome tenant, he may well cooperate if you explain your circumstances.

Give it a try. The worst he can do is say NO.

You must discuss your situation with your landlord right away. Most sensible landlords will not mind a change of the rent due date as long as you don't default.

tell him what you wrote here and ask him, that's the only way to know.
