There are 3 people in my family myself, wife (stay at home mom, and my 3 year old son). I make before taxes about $2850 per month. After taxes every two weeks my pay check is $1168.83. Can I afford paying this much in rent and all the utilities which I am guessing is aound $250 per month for gas electric, phone, cable, and internet? I do not think I can but that is just me. Any suggestions or advise?

Ok i live in MN and we refinanced our home about 2 years ago, we were approached by a company with this deal telling us that we have 50k in equity in our townhome, we decided to refinance to pay off medical bills, and our car loan. into a 1 mortgage. Well my company gave me a offer to move to denver next year so we are looking at selling or home talked to a realitor and now find that we are 40k. We told him about our refinance and what they found the appraisal is at, he researched that and found that to be false, looking more into this mess they charged a bunch of bogus fees that made that closing fees around 12k. Any one have head of this .

I am considering purchasing a house with 3 people (2 couples.) I am looking for advice on how best to apply for a mortgage. Should one person do it with a side contract between the partners? Or should all four co-sign the loan?
I think at least 2 of us could qualify for a loan on our own.

Ok if me and my husband do a "short sell" and sell our house before it actually forecloses, what are the chances of another mortgage company giving us another mortgage for another house? We have a family so living in an apartment really isn't the best option for us right now and our credit isn't really that great either. But we definitely plan on getting a much cheaper house for now. Thanks!!!

I live in NY State. My business wanted to expand to a facility next door also owned by my current business landlord. He verbally agreed twice and even once over email and gave me the keys. If he is trying to get out of it now is he already bound?

I moved in and signed a lease agreement for part of a condo that the landlord owns and lives in. After I had lived in the place for a while, we began a romantic relationship, which ended after 4 months. I still have several months left, which creates an interesting situation to say the least. I've heard that once we became involved romantically, the lease I signed became null and this is now a domestic issue instead of a landlord/tenant issue - basically, I'm free and clear of my lease obligation.

Is there any truth to this? I checked the Ohio Landlord/Tenant Act, but did not see anything.

Thanks.

Okay, so my lease said to give a 60-day notice as to whether I'd chose to vacate or renew my apartment. I'm used to a 30-day so that's what I gave. Unofortunately I am stuck w/ an additional 30 days of rent, which I know I am responsible for and am willing to pay BUT my apartment manager isn't willing to work w/ me on that. I've been paying for rent this past year w/ student loans since I'm a full-time college student and part-time worker. I don't have enough to pay for the entire month's rent in full since I didn't plan on staying this long, so I've requested to make payments and they aren't willing to do that. I really want to pay this off b/c I don't want it to reflect my credit or renting history. Is this really going to lead to my eviction? Help! P.S. And is there anything against moving out early? I'm still willing to pay everything, but I now have other obligations.

My wife met a guy at a realestate seminar. At one of their "hook up with other investors" sessions she met a guy who seemded credible. He is from Utah -Bob Noxon-case you can look him up- , we are in Wisconsin. He had a house he was going to buy and flip for huge profit but needed a cash partner. After getting a contract written (w/o a lawyer) where he put up some stock as collateral - she wired him the cash ($60,000). She was promised 1% per month simple interest and the money back regardless of what happened with the house deal by April 1st. A few weeks ago he said that the house deal did not close because the seller tried to raise the price so my wife told him to send the money back because the deal was then over. She reached him a couple more times since then to get him to send the money back and he said that he would - but no wire transfer yet. Since last Friday we have not been able to reach him - his v-mail is full and he does not answer page's to his cell or his e-mail.

WE don't want to continue with this realtor. So, should we have that in the contract that after May.... nul and void?
They have to sell theirs first..

Please try to explain this like you would to a high school student.

What are tax sale properties?

What are the advantages/disadvantages?
What are the risks? How do you reduce them?
What are the steps in detail on how to approach this?

In Ohio (perry county to be exact) is it legal for a landlord to serve a informal (hand written) eviction notice when rent is only 3 days late and a court order when only 12 days late?

Tenants had never been late with a 2 year record with no known problems with neighbors or other factors other then late rent.

Current home valued at $350,000 and is free and clear. We will sell this home and buy a retirement home in North Florida. The home we want to buy is $500,000. Should we take part of our 401k stash of 2.4 million and pay it in full OR have a mortgage for $150,000?

Got stuck in a pricey marital apartment with a little girl. Had to file bankruptcy due to legal fee's. Landlords want 4 months security and that is if I don't have to pay a brokers fee as well. Alimony stops this coming January and I will not be able to afford the rent where I'm currently living. If I leave Manhattan I lose custody. What would you do? Any advice? PLEASE!!!!
