I contracted a surveyor to stake the property line around my home and was told that they don't use the paper plot plan, but some sort of "gun" to determine the boundaries. Is it GPS?

There are more than 1500 houses being developed near companies such as Dell... Also near the city center there is another development with more than 1000 houses/apartments which will be built during the next 10 years.
Current prices for a house of 4 rooms / 1700 sq.ft are around 450K. A few miles to the East (Ascot) a similar house costs 525K.
I am worried about investing (to live there) because:
1) It will be difficult to move from there and sell the house without losing money (as for the next 10 years, while developers keep building houses, I will be competing in price with them).
2) There might be over supply and not enough demand.
3) It is not a good area (although there are plans to rejuvenate the city center during the next 10 years)
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

The way my county works, all bank-owned foreclosures are sold through a public auction that requires 20% payment at end of auction. I heard that title insurance protects against unknown liens against the property which could very well happen in this situation. Please advise I can't pay rent anymore.

Have been renting a property for almost 15 months now at £1000 a month. Had paid a bond of £1100. Moved out last weekend, now landlord has said the property wasn't clean enough. We thought we had left is spotless, (cleaned the skirting boards, windows etc) we hadn't cleaned the doors and there was a little pencil on the wall. The house was not that clean when we first started to rent. He now wants to get in a professional cleaning team!!!, and bill us for it!

The most annoying thing is, I had done the handover of keys with his wife on Saturday, and tried to walk her around the house to show her, but she said no, she didn't need to do that!

Is this fair? Surely a rented accommodation should not warrant the tenants having to pay these fees?

I'm wanting to live with 3 other people (random people) in a 4 bedroom house. I will set up the house fully furnished, and I will have the main bedroom and use part of the double garage.

Say it's a $400 house.
I would pay $110 (since it's my furniture etc they will be using) one other pays ($130 - who uses the other side of the garage) and 2 others pay $125. Is this a fair split?

I need some house rules to follow by and some questions that will be okay to ask during the interview process - so the house runs smoothly.
I'd love some advice. Any suggestions to make the house run smooth and fair.

I am a student (university) who is getting ready to finish and move on with his life. I have a wife and child and I'd say I'm fairly competent with a hammer and saw (a figure of speech). I have a collection of trusted contractors and I have several 3-ring binders (at least 10) with a plethora of plans and design products/ideas that I have amassed throughout the years. These range anywhere from counter tops, to drywall, to floor plans. The only thing I have left to learn is how to finance such an expedition. Obviously, I do not have a lot of money right now, given that I am a college student.

I looked at http://geltfinancial.com/loanrehab.asp
Is this place reliable? What options do I have?

PS: I would like this to be short-term investments (e.g., 1mo. or less--and yes, I can do it in less than a month).

I think I got scammed----no lawyer, didn't read the papers. Several years ago I bought a house, changed my mind, and sold it quickly to a company that made a verbal pledge to sell the house for me. I sold it thinking they would take the house, sell it, and pay off the mortgage. Now, I find out---someone else has been paying my mortgage for several years and its still on my credit report. I find out this mortgage has a DUE ON SALES clause. But I did not read the papers when I sold the property. Bank is calling now because of late mortgage payments, and this has affected by credit. WHAT DO I DO? Can the bank foreclose on a house I no longer own? I did not proft at all from the sale of the house. I Just want to get out from under this bad mortgage problem and resolve this gross mistake. I admit its a case of bad judgment on my part since I know very little about real estate. I've always been very conservative and don't like to take risks. Good credit up to now. Now I'm lost. HELP

What harm does a microwave do if it's in my bedroom & unplugged? & if it is plugged, what's the difference between that & other electronics being plugged?

She doesn't allow appliances in the bedroom, even if it's unplugged. & she said that the next time she caught it in my room, she would have me evicted. It's not stated in the lease.

But my roommate brings alcohol in the apartment & it's not allowed, & another roommate has 2 cats, & pets aren't allowed, & both of those rules are stated in the lease.

My landlord & I have been @ war. She's been targeting me, & she's looking for reasons to have me evicted. I'm going to wind up suing her @$$ for disability discrimination because she thinks I'm crazy because I have psychiatric illnesses, & plus she caused me so much stress that she caused me a mental breakdown, & I had to be hospitalized.

The alcoholic tried to kill me by charging @ me with 2 knives, & she still got me living with her because she didn't believe my story.

also, our mortgage will be around $600+- a month but that's still not something i'm sure about. i use their calculators on the website, are they totally off?
