Currently my hubby and I are saving the majority of our $ in a traditional IRA. We understand that we can pull this $ out without a penalty, but we know that we'll have to pay taxes on it. Would our money be better off somewhere else or is this the right way to go about saving to buy a house?

How do you get in touch with, and make an impact on millionaires like the real estate tycoon that is buying up multi-million dollar houses and letting them to low income tenants for 150 DOLLARS a month in Hawaii? I mean, he says the elite can help the less fortunate...meanwhile I, a genuinely nice person, struggle through university and being a young mother, with no extra money, and no advantages such as those he offers. I guess I will hope to win the lottery. *smile*

I've own one property for the past 3 years, which I have never lived in, but my parents have been living in it instead. Would I be qualified for code section 121 as a primary residence or only 1031 as a secondary residence?

Thanks.

I am being evicted from my apartment due to inability to pay the heating oil bill, which is under the current landlord's name. I have explained the situation, and agreed with her to make monthly payments because I'm on SSI. I proceeded to make payments, and she abruptly changed her mind and is tossing me out on the streets. When I mean streets, I mean I'll literally live on the streets. I've consulted with so many landlords around here and they all refused to rent anything to me because of poor landlord references... my ex husband withheld 3 months rent with the previous house. I had no idea till I was served with an eviction notice. It's one of the reasons why we dissolved our relationship. Now because of what he did with the previous landlord, I can't get a house! The divorce also destroyed my credit, and the landlords here don't care. They only look at the credit, and they don't want to know why it was damaged. They won't even let me explain my horrible relationship with

Okay here's the deal. My brother got out of the marine corp in march and moved into my one bedroom apartment with my bf and me. We didn't ask him to pay for anything and we bought all the groceries, let him use my cell phone cause he couldn't afford to pay his own, let him use the car to get to work, and so much more. Anyway Aug. came and we decided to move into a 2bd/2ba apartment and then my brother was going to split the rent. The total was $600/month. I felt like it was fair for him to pay half of the rent since he gets his own room and bath. My boyfriend and i would be sharing of course. As for bills my bf and i paid 2/3 and he only paid 1/3. Anyway my bf's dad was the co-signer for all of us and had to cover for my bro since he moved out in nov. He gave rent for dec. and jan, but now thinks he doesn't have to pay cause he doesn't live here. Can my bf's dad sue with a good chance of winning? He's on the lease too. Is this fair? I wanted to sue for from feb-july $1800.
