Do you think that it is a wise idea for a recording artist ( singer) to put his/her music on CD's?

for public sale, distribution, and promotion? I am asking this question because CD's are not selling like they used to, according to the music industry reports. I need to know this before I start putting my music on thousands of CD's.

Yes, I do believe that you should put your music on CD's. The CD sales have only gone down by like what...1%. I do think it is a good idea. How else are you going to promote your music anyways.
