I believe the temp has to be at least 16 degrees c after the first hour of work, or you can legally walk off the job

According to this link they recommend a minimum temperature of 18°C when the outside temperature is at -1°C. I assume that this is a residential property you are enquiring about. For businesses the minimum is 16°C.

well as far as i know the average room temperature is 24 degrees c but i wouldn't really work in a room of much less than that because it might effect the way you work it may slow you down because your too cold if you have any problems then your best bet would be to consult your employer

In an office it's 60degF or 16.5degC after the first hour. There is no maximum.
