No lease agreement, just a verbal one. My tenant still owes me for last month's utilities and rent and this month's utilities and rent, now up to $700 and the cable was transfered to this house in his name and it's not working either. He has told me for the last week that he will be giving me money; even interrupting my dinner last night with a call asking if I would take cash since he cannot seem to find any checks. He didn't come home with the money, said he was going out later to get it, I inquired twice more last night and the last time he just went to sleep or at least in his room and didn't respond. He also leaves my house a general mess and I have absolutely no reason to keep him around if he's not paying rent. I plan on calling the Police later to ask them what routes I can take if I do actually plan to remove him, but the thing that worries me is that the family's got a good lawyer friend that I fear will turned on me if I try removing him with no contract.

The 2 houses next to mine were demo'd now i'm infested w/ mice, there's ants coming out my bathroom walls, roaches coming through the A/C vents, wall heaters&fireplace,my bedroom roof leaks when it rains & the bathroom sink takes 45 min to drain cause the pipes are so coroded. I took the pipe off and pulled out a huge black chunk of something (it's like they are deterating). I found an apartment to move into Nov. When I tried to give my notice to my rental company they said I still have to pay Nov. rent or I'll be evicted & loose my $1000. deposit. Is there a way to legaly get out by Nov. due to unliveable conditions or something?

I am planning on buying a home for 63,000 dollars I have about 35,000 dollars saved up in my bank account is it wise to try to pay off the house as quickly as possible in order to save on interest? I live at home with my parents so I am buying the house as an investment. I plan to put about 25 or 30 thousand down on the house and leasing out the house and I am going to try to pay it off in about 2 years....Is it wise to do this or should I just give a small down payment on the home and just save my money....Banks don't pay that much on interest 4 or maybe 5 % at most, but I would be gaining about 200-250 above my monthly payment on the loan if I gave a large down payment because my payments on the home loan would only be about 400 dollars and I would be renting out the home for about 650 dollars....Is it wise to put a large down payment and try to pay off the home quickly...Or should I just give a 20% down say about 12,000 dollars and then try to pay it off later when I've saved up?

I am buying a house and after making several offers on the home they finally accepted an offer. I was asked to pay the real estate agent 1000 dollars in earnest money on a house that i am interested in so that they can see that I am serious bout buying the house. My question is this: If after the inspection I am not happy with the house can I renegotiate the initial offer if all the things that are wrong with the house are not fixed? And if the seller refuses to fix everything with the house, and refuses to lower the price do I have to go through with the deal even if I already gave them 1000 dollars earnest money? And If I do not go through with the deal because I am unsatisfied with repairs on the house am I entitled to get the 1000 dollars earnest deposit back or do I lose this money?

I hate this realtor, she has reduced the price of my house WITHOUT consulting me. I spent 25k on a custom brick driveway, she said "The neighbors don't like it" Why would she talk to them anyway? She has insulted my decor, Told me she will not answer emails if I send her too many. (3 is too many for her) .Which I rely on as I am in Houston, TX. She was supposed to list the house 48 hours after we signed the contract, it has been Since Sept 5, 2006. What is a LEGAL way to terminate her contract?
She's horrible. I bought new fixtures for the house before I left. She removed them and bought new ones with a fund I left for "just in case repairs" she was not autorised to make the purchases.
I want her gone, Please, does anyone have suggestions on the LEGAL way to terminate my contract with her?

Please no Stupid goofy answers, I really need help!!

I am buying a house on Saturday the inspector came in to check out the house I paid him a check for 225 dollars, My question is this if I go back and tell my realtor I want the things found wrong with the house fixed. If the seller agrees to fix the items found on the sellers report, Can the inspector come back to reinspect the house again to make sure the items he found on the house were fixed? And if so do I have to pay him again to have the house reinspected?

I having been thinking about changing professions, and I was wondering how would someone go about becoming a realtor? How long would it take to do so? I was told ony 3 weeks of training and $ 1200.00, for a 10 yr licence, could this be true? Would it be worth it for me financially? Anything that anyone knows about Real Estate, if you could give me some feed back it would be appreciate it.

I cannot contol the heat in my apartment, the thermostat is in one of the other two in the building. Mine is a one bedroom studio, very small, while the others are 3 and 4 bedrooms and two stories. Because the control for the heat is in the other room, which are much bigger than mine, it is always an inferno. Except when the occupants of the other two apartmets (out of town college students) go home for winter break. Then it is freezing. Shouldn't I have the ability to control the heat for my apartment?

for an apartment in the city, would you pay more rent for a slightly smaller unit with lots of light and decent views or would you pay more for a larger interior unit with no view or direct sunlight? There is a lightwell, however, no direct sun shines into the unit. I'd really appreciate your honesty in what matters to you in chosing an apartment.

I have a small not for profit organization, but we are at the moment meeting in a community room of a complex. There is some open property/ a small building and small apartments that I see great potential in that is across from where we meet, that would be an excellent place for my Organization, I'm wondering if maybe the owner would donate it and file it as a tax deduction, but it has a real estate sign up saying that it's for sale. Can the real estate company help me with this or should I contact the owner on my own?
