I am trying to apply for a loan in the amouint of $8000- for a doublewide. I am married, but i have poor credit, and my husband has none. My grandmother, as a doublewide, financed with National City, and she has a PERFECT credit score! NO DINGS, OR ANYTHING. She said she will be a co-signer. Can i still get declined, even with her as a cosigner?

I have read two different things all over the internet. I know my SOL is 5 years in my state. MO... but did it start when I first became late on my account and went into collections therefore leading to charge off. or... did it start by the last payment made on my account even if it was partial..is it first late or last payment in the state of Missouri?

Hi all, I am thinking of starting a user generated credit ratings site. As so many businesses are doing a lot credit sales, the
people needed a reliable source for giving credit for their potential customers even though they might be only a startup. But desperately lacked concrete business models to continue the idea. Any ideas are appreciated.

I settled with an education loan that went into default a couple of years ago and the during the settlement the education loan company sent a "settlement agreement" or a contract to sign stating what was agreed upon. Well, I recently paid the settlement back in august and it's october and they haven't changed the balance on my credit report to honor the settlement agreement. I talk to them and they stated that they would need 120 days to update the information on my credit report. I've since reported them to the BBB because of this conflict. Does anyone have any further advice to give? It would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

i was paying on a car loan- which i had defaulted on back in 2003, and started paying on again in 2005- to aug of this year
well we could not work out a way to continue paying with the bank- they just ignored us- we were wanting to make a reasonable payment so it could get paid off quicker, but they refused it and so we stop paying on it

now my question is shouldn't this accout go to a collection agency rather than the bank its originated from?
another question, i just recently stopped paying them for the second time, shouldn't they be calling me to work something out? because they have never called my house in the past couple of months after we made no payment, i thought they are suppose to get in contact with you to make arrangements on the payment before going to a lawyer

please don't give rude answers i want serious answers only
i know i should be paying on this, i don't need anyone to answer this if you are going to say pay your debt- thats what i am working on doing

I have excellent credit and do not need any more cards but I think I have too many cards though! I know that closing accounts can negatively affect your credit score, but what about having too many credit cards? My credit score is 783. I want to buy house next year.

OK I was wondering that if I applied for 4 credit cards and 1 Stafford loan within 6 months. How bad will this make me look on my credit scores..

The reason I was denied for the loan was because I didnt make grades.. But yea..

Is this bad? Is it bad to apply for other credit cards? Is it bad to apply for college loans?

I recently found out that my husband's x-wife bought a bunch of stuff in my husband's name when he was deployed in the middle east. She never paid on any of it. Now, 7 years later, I am married to him (he is in Iraq again) and the collection agencies are calling me. I paid off the first one that called but now I dont have any money left for the rest of them. What happens if I cant pay them? Can they sue me since it is in my husband's name (remember my husband is not in the country)? Can they take my car other possesions (which are in my name, not my husbands)? What is the worst that can happen and how long do I have before it happens? HELP!

Why is it when they call and someone aswers and says "hello?" it takes them 5 to 10 seconds to respond? Are they tactfully trying to reach the person of interest by Voice recongnition or is it a delay or what? Whats the deal? I answer alot of calls at the front desk where I work and find it annoying when I'm busy, to have to wait up to 10 seconds for the person calling to say "Hello, can I speak to so-and-so..." To tell you the truth, It only takes 1 second for an intelligent human being to respond when someone says hello. It Frickin Kills Me!!!!!

Most of the economic rules are made by rich people. They dont realize how much the rest of us rely on credit. Its because they are out of touch. This whole economy depends on credit now with higher monthly payments I notice I am spending less. They need to change that rule real fast or we may have a recession!
