Prosper is GREAT!!! i have tried it and it proved to be awesome. this is that I asked for a $5k loan, and blew it on something else I needed, and now i still don't have what I wanted with the loan (school money) AND I have have to pay $170 a month.

It's like any other loan, it takes discipline to obtain these monies, apply it to what you really need, and pay it back. but i highly recommend it - problem is that anything can deter you from getting the loan. No picture will influence, as well as a frivilous want ( a new Corvette convertable). But if you can demostrate that you need the money for a real need, people should be able to hear you on that.

Good luck!

Prosper is a good source IF you can get anyone to loan you the money. If you are looking to be funded quickly, Prosper may not be the best option as there is no way to know how long it will take to receive that funding.

If you cannot receive funding through more traditional means, then you may want to consider why this is so. Is there a credit issue? Are you overextended? Are you trying to consolidate debt but failing to communicate that to lenders?

If you can obtain funding through traditional methods, that may be the better option as your interest rates will be better. Lenders that I work with every day are telling me that this is now the best time to borrow money as interest rates are so low.

That would be an option, if anyone there is willing to lend it to you.
