Yes, as long as the account is delinquent the collection agency can report it as that. What are the circumstances of having an attorney handle your collection accounts? Are you filing bankruptcy? If so, once notified the collection agency is no longer allowed to contact you.

If you are in collections, it probably has already been reported to the credit bureaus.
