If we paid all our medical bills per month at $100, which is what they want us to do because we can't pay all in full it would add up to over $900 per month. That doesn't include our living expenses and other regular bills. We want to send them what we can which is $10 a month on each one until some of them are paid and then we can slowly increase what we are paying. We live in the state of georgia. The main hospital won't work with us and said they will only accept $100 per month. The magistrate said the hospitals didn't have to accept what we paid unless it was what they wanted and even if we were paying 10-$20. per month they could still turn it over for collection or garnish my husbands wages. we want to pay, but my husband hours at work have been cut to 32 and they've already laid some of them off. I am on total disability and only get one check per month for $563. Does anyone know about the laws in Georgia and if hospitals can refuse your payment if it's not what they want?

Will they really loan me $1500? I seriously need money or I will lose my apartment and car. My credit score is 510 so I can't get a regular credit card. My friends and family can't loan me anything. I start my new job Nov. 1 (salary $35K) but have been out of work 2 months and that is a mighty big hole. I am desperate.

So over two years ago I was a idiot and addicted to the online gambling world. I had placed bets at poker sties etc. Well recently the transaction company that funded my account was a offshore company called Citadell Commerece. Apparently I had multiple checks that bounced. They gave my debt to a horrible company collections company in the U.S..Collection company has constantly calling, and harassing me since they received the debt. I actually disputed the debt by mail and received nothing back. They actually told me they never received my dispute. I know the way thec collection company is handling it is unethical but should I be worried about this effecting my credit report. Collection company is a american company but the gambling site was offshore and and the company that accepted payment was offshore. Does collection even have the legal ability to put this on my credit report since it was a illegal transaction to beging with?

If one had an unsecured credit debt, that has been charged off, is there any advantage to settling with an agency? That is, it was listed as an R9 charge-off on the credit report, for around 2K, and another around 6K, but with separate agencies. They say this is the last month, then it could go to an attorney, where you have no negoitable rights, that is they wouldn't settle for anything less. What if you have no property of any kind to protect, and you really can't pay a lump sum, but can only over small payments? Why pay it off, if it still says R9 on the credit report? Sounds like no real deal?

how do i deal with these creditors, i was out of work for 10 weeks with no pay due to a major surgery. I plan on paying everything back and to be current again, but some of these people want 300, 400 or more at a time and threaten if i do not pay that much a month, my account will be sent to legal collections.
I just can afford payments like these, how do i handle or "haggle" with them, im currently in a debt consolidatin program but they wont accept some of my bills...please help
ohh, "borrowing" money is not an option, i dont have enough credit to get a loan, and i have no friends or family that can loan me money, i see these people are trained to ask you that as if it's no big deal.

First of all I will admit that I did mess up when I was younger with credit cards. Now that I'm older, and married, and trying to get a house I realize that I should have been smater about the situation. That being said, my husband and I were looking into getting a house and found that my credit is LESS than spectacular. In the mean time, I have decided to try and improve my credit. My problem though has been that I have applied for a few credit cards and all have told me the same thing...Sorry we can not give you credit based on delenquinces from past creditors. I have paid off all of my past accounts that had went to collection, and am currently working on paying off one other card (this one has NOT gone to collections). My question is how or where can I get a credit card that will help my credit score without being denied?

I'm $1054.28 in debt and received a letter today saying if I pay $654.37 before Oct 31 it'll be settled, but.. I don't and will not have $654 before then. A friend of mine suggested getting a captial one card and paying off my debt with it and then just pay off the money I'll owe capital one. I dont know how fast I could get a capitalone card or if I could even get one since my credit is messed up now. Any suggestions??

I had a credit card in georgia that I defaulted on in april of 2003. Recently I agreed to a settlement on this account of 460.41, I had five days to pay this and during that time I was hospitalized. I wrote the company telling them this and ask for a extension because of this. I have not heard from them I do not want to just send them a check of 461.00 without an updated letter of settlement agreement. Have I reset the statue of limitations by doing this and have I opened myself up to a chance of now being sued for the whole amount. what once was a 500.00 bill has now added up to 1500.00 in collection fees any advise on how to handle this.

My daughter and her soon to be husband applied for a credit card.
They were approved for 6000..they used for about a month all of a sudden while making a purchase card stated declined.
They needed more info....
They sent certified signature, many other things kept waiting and they called company and told them they were tearing up card.

Ordered another card..approved for same amount....used card...today went to make purchase stated it was declined..and was asking question what kind of car was your second one?
Its almost like a repeat.
Can someone tell me why this is?
What can you do to straighten something like this out?
Has anyone else ever had this to happen?

Ok I have a question about loans....My friend got two loans from two different loan stores....well my friend lost her job and she couldnt pay for the loans so she went ahead and closed her account so that when these loan places would try to get their money from their account they wouldnt be able to get any money, well today she told me that a police officer called her mother home asking for her, and she's afraid that she may be in trouble because of what she did. Can anyone tell me if she may be in trouble because of this? Can loan stores call the cops on you if you get a loan from them and then you close your bank account? Please answer me! I know that my friend did wrong but she is going through a really tough/rough situation and she tried talking to these loan stores, but they told her that they wanted their$right away and didnt believe that she had lost her job. I feel so sorry for my friend because she doesnt know what to do she is very scared...

I have 3 accounts in collections due to surgery I had when I was younger around 2004/2005. At the time I did not have a great job or steady income because I was a full time student. One of the accounts has an amount that is very high and the other two are relatively low and could be paid. How should I approach handling this matter, is waiting 7 years until these marks drop off my credit a good option or somehow settling the amounts better? My score doesn’t seem to be that low between all my reports Ex: 627 / Trans: 664 /Eq: 630

I live in the state of Texas, I currently have 1 consolidated school loan and 1 credit card all paid on time and never late. There MAY have been some type of error in how the debt was suppose to be recorded, as the documents at the hospital were filled out to make my father the responsible party for the the bills (not sure if that is even possible)

i really miss having a cellphone, and my mom wont let me get one again, because last time i had a plan, i didnt pay the bill one time, so my mom shut it off. ive been with this prepaid phone right now, and i just saw that T-mobile has the Flexpay Plan. i told my mom about it, and she said it was okay. until i went to the retail store, and they said i had to be 18 to get it. then they told me if i could find someone whos 18 to sign it for me, i could get it. i told my mom this and shes worried it will ruin her credit if i forget to pay the bill.

anyone have any answers?
