Basically my question is this: In a lenders eyes and for credit reporting/scoring purposes, are all loans viewed equally? Other than the commonly lower interest rates on student loans, is there any reason more attention should be given to credit cards and other loans when constructing a debt-reduction program? What are the pros and cons?

Currently i am using MONEY ORDER.

Correct me if i am wrong, i bring the amount of money in SGD(im singaporean) to the bank equivalent to the amount i want to pay in USD(money is going to US).

Eg; 104.95 SGD = $65.95 USD. and they pass me a 65.95USD Slip of paper with is "worth" 65.95. I fill in the details and i mail to the company/person.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

Second time around in asking this site. Ive stopped talking to the creditor. Should I still make my 35.00 monthly payments and not the increase per the collection agency. I don't want to hear how I should pay my bills, etc. I am paying them. Believe me I know. Just some info from those who know or have been there. Thanks

This is insane.

they say that there is no early pay penalty so im going to try to kills this loan by the end of this year.
It is 16.5k loan. 36 months for 550 or around there. I forgot what they said.

rent is free for me, i have a used car that will sell for 5k, i have about 3g's in the bank. i should just kill this loan asap huh.

the reason why i want to get the car now is because the guy is selling his 2004 tsx for pretty cheap. For about 16.5k. Which I think is a pretty nice deal. Im going to do an inspection tommorow but another plan was maybe getting a credit union loan and kill off my 16.5k loan immiedately. My credit score is 685. Know a place with better rate hopefully?

I am having difficulty getting credit with anyone because some of my history is under another person with my name, different SS# and DOB. So it looks like I don't have the credit I actually do because it showing up under this other persons SS#. Equifax will only talk to me if I send in a copy of my SS card and other ID. I'm very hesitant to do that. What can I do to get this problem resolved?

if someone got my social security number got out, and someone opened credit cards, and I never found out about it... would I be financially responsible? To my understanding, business credit cards do not show up on credit reports, because I found out I have some through a phone call, even though I never opened them, and they are not on my credit report... so... what do I have to do to be not financially responsible. Thank You.

They call it a "Convenience Payment Fee", I call it highway robbery! You can buy online, check your shipping status online, but as soon as you use it to make a payment online they rip you off! I am disgusted as I type on this DELL keyboard. Funny how a company that prides itself on new technology is using such outdated methods. USE YOUR STAMPS AND SEND CHECKS!!!! What a rip

last month we had an emergancy and took out a payday loan.when the time came for it to be due we still did not have the money so my husband went and got a week extension. when the week was up we were still short so i read the agreement again and it said that we could get up to a 60 day extension.well my husband went to talk to them and they said they will not give him the 60 days that they were cashing the check monday.i had no choice but to put a stop payment on the check.

what can happen to him now for stopping the check?all we needed was a little more time-not even the 60 days that it states we can extend to.

If you call Amex, Discover, CapitalOne, etc etc, and tell them that you're not happy with your current card, and want a better one from their selection, being that you're their customer, is it possible for them to switch you to another card they carry if you qualify for one?

I currently have 5 credit cards, after a bankrupcy two years ago in Jan 2005.

Amex is one of them, it has an unlimited line.

Being that part of our score is based on debt to credit limit ratio, would cancelling this card with its unlimited credit line, hurt my score? And if so by how much?

My scores are 629 and 620. I would like to know if apartment complexes look at all three scores? I called this one place i like and she said they use a third party to review your credit application& rental history. ( I have never had an apartment) and then they come back with an answer like, Denied, first months rent, 2 months rent, or co-signer. I cant get a co-signer so i hope that my scores are ok. and they look at all three. Can any one give some help?

How would I go about getting my credit score up? Ten years ago I used Consumers Credit Counseling to help pay off my credit card debit. It was HIGH. I paid it off in 2 years. I still have ramifications from that period in my life, even though I paid it off. I didn't file bankrupty ,as a car dealer told meI would have been better off doing. How long can this haunt me.? I have 3 credit cards all with below 700$ limits and one car loan. I am never late and if I use the credit card I pay it off when the bill arrives, but still the past haunts me. HELP!!!
