my card has differnt initial,if they wont accept it can ileave cash.i go in 2 weeks.too late to get card in my name.

Avis will hold a reservation until 6:00 PM without a credit card. You WILL need a valid credit card in order to actually collect the car. You may have a problem with using a credit card in a different name from the name on your driving license or passport. You need to get this corrected prior to departing to avoid any problems. 2 weeks IS sufficient time as long as the credit card issuer does not drag their feet.

You probably will need to leave credit card details for security, but as long as it's a valid card the actual name on it doesn't matter.
