I have good credit score. I am planning to buy new car[march 27th] with car financing just after the day of my house purchase[March 26th]. I already locked my House mortgage loan.
I fear house purchase would affect my credit score and hence higher Car financing APR.
Can any one advise me please?

I share a household with a freind who I have found out keeps getting debt letters to the house. Does her bad debt affect mine because we both live at the same address?
Is there away to check the debt / credit score on the property and not a person?

If I get sent to a collection agency does that automatically mean it goes on my credit report. I got a letter from a collection company and I called the same day and paid it. They said it wouldn’t go on my credit report just as long as I took care of it. Are they ieing. Can they lie about that????????

After my dad died (he paid my credit cards every other month) I spent two years trying to pay them off myself. I cancelled them immediately even though I had a balance, but I finally have them paid off (after going months without being able to pay any of them because of other financial situations). Now my credit score is 519, I have no credit cards and need to improve my credit score somehow. Financially, I am better off so I could get another credit card and keep the balance low, but I dont know anyone who would let me sign up for another card! Please Help!

I was curious about debit cards, many people who have them tell me they are completely free... but them some other people tell me that they charge you for using them... which is right... is it free or do they charge?

I want to buy my first home in about 6months time. Is it possible to increse my score from 610 to 675 in 6months? I only have two credit cards and using only 20% of my available credit. I don't have any loans. I had a collection 1year 2months ago that has been paid off for college parking tickets. I also had an old credit card charged off as bad debt 2 and a half years ago. I had a car loan three years ago but paid it off to quick, it was paid in 1.5 years. All I have now is my two credit cards to increase my score? Should I also pay my charge off, I was told this will do nothing to my score! Thanks

I have never had a Credit Card before. My credit score is 0. Who would offer me a credit card and at what rate? What would be the best choice of card? I am currently employed in a part time job and I'm going to college full time. I just need to card to help me build some credit score.

Also in the States we use "FICO" I believe that's what it's called. If someone moved to say Canada or the UK does their credit score follow them? Does every country use the same system? How exactly does it work?

I don't understand why several different lenders refuse to give me an auto loan. I have good credit and I think I bring in enough to pay it off without a problem. So what's the problem? Has anyone ever worked for a lender and knows what specifically they want? I just graduated from college in December and have been working 30-35 hours a week since Nov-although technically considered part time, I think I make plently to pay car payments, insurance, etc and live comfortably. I never had any trouble getting a student loan, in which I am now in good standing with, and credit card companies are throwing themselves at me. I've rented from 3 different landlords and i'm in good standing with them too. On my credit report, of the 13 accounts, it says one-my credit card could be potentially negative-because I was late with a payment one month. But it's current and i've paid ever since. Can that one missed payment really keep me from getting a car? Or could it be something else? Please help!

And according to my credit report - the debt has been charged off by this credit card company. Do they still try to collect on charge offs? Unfortunately, the last time there was any activity on this account, it was less than the SOL for my state (Florida). Can anyone offer any advice?
