mean it goes on my credit report. I got a letter from a collection company and I called the same day and paid it. They said it wouldnt go on my credit report just as long as I took care of it. Are they lieing. Can they lie about that????????

If I were to ask you for written proof that they would not put this item on credit report, what would you have to evidence the nature and scope of the agreement.

Hmmmmmmmmm.

You should get such an agreement in writing and then even if they had lied, you could send the written letter with the collection agency's letterhead to the three credit bureaus for removal.

A least you worry, most people don't even think about it, but you payed it and no it will not go on your report, but as far as lieing, that's just a very bad habit everyone in this world has.
