A little over 3 years ago my friends' wife left him after that time he found out she had not been paying the bills (he was a truck driver). She filed for divorce after she had cleaned him out. In an attempt to save his home he filed Ch.13 but did not turn in all creditor info. The judge did give judgement on the home loan stating he had to pay 1 1/2 months mortgage every month, 2 weeks later he sent them a payment and and they sent it back and told him he they wanted the full amount owed, he did not know he could have took them back to court. The bankruptcy has been dismissed, but people are saying he has to have it discharged. How do you go about doing that? (sorry so long)

FHA loan question about buying a house that needs work.?

I just recently purchased a house for 52,500 to fix up and sale. Under my brokers advice I just decided to put it up for sale with only minor work for 68k. I have an a lot of cash offers and 1 offer for 68k from someone that is using a FHA loan. The house needs subfloor work, joists work and a cement pier repaired. It will also need a new roof soon. I did a sale contract to these people that was good for 15 days and got a back up contract with a cash offer in case the sale falls through. Whats the chance of the sale falling through if the people have decent credit, probably 0 down and are buying a house that needs work totalling around 10k? Thanks!

At first I was just using my paypal account to buy things on ebay; I was not selling anything. Then I wanted to sell something, but ebay said my email address could not be confirmed, so I had to provide a different email address, which resulted in me having to make a new paypal account. As a result I ended up with 2 paypal accounts. I tried to add my credit card to my new paypal account, but it said my credit card was already being used by another (my old) account, and it could only be used on 1 account. So then I deleted my old account so that my credit card would no longer be being used by the old account and I could use it on the new one. But even though I deleted my old account I still keep getting a message that says my credit card is already being used by another account. Why am I getting this message & how can I add my credit card to my new paypal account? I absolutely HAVE to pay for an item I won on ebay today and I can't pay until I add my credit card to my new paypal account

My main question about this requires a little work. Ok?

Look to your left on the yahoo answers web page (The main part of the Credit catagory) They are always running an ad in that section that says something about getting a credit card, even if you have bad credit. Orchard Bank is the ad.

What is the "catch" with this credit card though? (Low credit limits? High interest rate? No grace period? High amount of money to open the account and high yearly fee to have the account? )

My question is: Are there really any credit card companies out there that will give you an unsecured credit card, if you have "bad" credit and NOT charge you an arm and a leg in fees to get the account/card going? I have gotten some credit cards that say I can get the credit card with $250 credit limit, but they take fees out and now I only have like $72 credit and I have to pay $178 before I have the whole credit amount. Can I find a credit card that doesn't do that even with not so good credit?

I took out a loan nearly a year ago and, although there was a three month payment 'holiday', the bank hasn't taken any of the repayments out since. Will I get away with paying nothing? Have you ever had experience of a bank coming after you for repayments after they've made a similar error?

I recently received a notice from a collection agency from my last apartment. When I called they stated that we can setup a 3-month plan to pay it off. Which was fine. But the person turned around and said that we cannot guarantee that this collection will not be reported to the credit bureaus. Then I asked what is the purpose of me paying off the debt if it's still going to be reported. She didn't have an answer.

My question is if I'm paying on time each month to PAYOFF the debt and on time. Could they really still report the amount to the credit bureaus?

I had negative reporting for a mortgage that went into foreclosure by mistake. It was corrected by the company but 10 months later. Is there still additional damage to be aware of?

I took a £10,000 loan out 2 ½ years ago. I have another 2 ½ years to go before I pay it all back. My husband wants to get out a £30,000 loan and put both our names on the it. He doesn’t know that I already have an existing loan and I don’t want to tell him. If I put my name down for the £30k loan and don’t declare that I already have an existing loan will the building society do a search and see that I already have a loan and refuse us a loan or tell my husband about it? I can’t let him know about it.

when that information is proprietary and a very tightly guarded secret. I have seen many people say things like this:

* 35%, punctuality of payment in the past
* 30%, the amount of debt, expressed as the ratio of current revolving debt (credit card balances, etc.) to total available revolving credit (credit limits)
* 15%, length of credit history
* 10%, types of credit used (installment, revolving, consumer finance)
* 10%, recent search for credit and/or amount of credit obtained recently

but I want proof that you know what you are talking about. Where can I go to find the formula that you are reporting to people? I know that Fair Isaac didn't give it to you, because they don't tell anybody. So where did you get it from?

I'm making a purchase on my credit card, but the purchase will be about $100 over my limit. If I make a $100 payment to my credit card that currently has a 0 balance (so my balance will be -$100), and then charge it for the full amount, is that allowed?

My hubby and I had to have some major repair work on house (pipes& sewer) last July. It cost us $12,000 to repair, and we had no choice but to put a majority of that on our credit cards. Our minimun payments due, are so high ( like 1000) a month. Ive kept up on them till last 3 months. We have decent credit besides these, and just cant afford minimum payments. I was wondering if I should let them go to collections, and then pay them, since they work with you? . Anyone done this before? We thought about a consolidation, but they want $600 a month, and we'd have to get rid of our other cards (which are lower credit limits and we pay them off as soon as we use them.) Any advice? Thanks
