At first I was just using my paypal account to buy things on ebay; I was not selling anything. Then I wanted to sell something, but ebay said my email address could not be confirmed, so I had to provide a different email address, which resulted in me having to make a new paypal account. As a result I ended up with 2 paypal accounts. I tried to add my credit card to my new paypal account, but it said my credit card was already being used by another (my old) account, and it could only be used on 1 account. So then I deleted my old account so that my credit card would no longer be being used by the old account and I could use it on the new one. But even though I deleted my old account I still keep getting a message that says my credit card is already being used by another account. Why am I getting this message & how can I add my credit card to my new paypal account? I absolutely HAVE to pay for an item I won on ebay today and I can't pay until I add my credit card to my new paypal account

I EXPERIENCED A SIMILAR SITUATION. I DELETED MY EMAIL ACCOUNT BUT FORGOT TO CHANGE ALL MY ACCOUNTS USING THAT ADDRESS. I HAD TO END UP USING A DIFFERENT CREDIT CARD FOR MY PAYPAL. I TRIED CONTACTING PAYPAL BUT WITH NO LUCK, NOBODY EVER GOT BACK TO ME. I JUST GAVE UP. LUCKY FOR ME THAT THE CREDIT CARD ON MY OLD ACCOUNT EXPIRES SOON.

on the paypal website - there is a place where they provide a phone number (1-800) number that you can call and talk to an actual person. Have all of your info prepared ahead so you are not scrambling for info when you talk to them. Get the persons name so that you can refer to them if youhave to call back.

First, I had a similar problem with e-mail address's and PayPal.

Call PayPal by phone. They are very friendly and will be able to help you much faster in person. I did, and it worked out great.

Good luck.

you should contact paypal support explaining all these details, or try another credit card but i need to complete the expanded enroll process anyway and that takes a few days to complete.

Yeah, sorry. It's not going to let you. Been there before. Talk to the seller and see if there is another way you can get the money to them. By either mailing a check over night or western union. I'm sure they will understand.

that happened to me. I had to report my credit card stolen and cut it up. Then when they sent me a new one (with differerernt numbers)... then I added that one to pay pal. It just takes a phone call and a few days. Until then, for this payment, you can use debit from your bank account
