They are not required to supply free credit scores at this time...only free reports.

If you want to "play the game" go to www.freecreditreport.com, sign up for their service, and after you get the reports and score cancel the service.

Studly is right. Playing the game is about the only way you will get it. Be careful of any small print and giving credit card info that they get to charge you.

Credit scores are not just given out. It took an act of Congress just to get the credit bureaus to give the public a copy of your credit report once a year for free just for the heck of it. Literally. Anytime a financial institution for a mortgage loan, car loan, personal loan, whatever has to pull your credit with a credit score it cost money. That is what the credit bureaus make their money on is the scoring process.

I am currently "playing the game". Yesterday I signed up for the free 30 day trial at freecreditreport. After I had gotten everything done though and proved to them who I was through the 2 questions it said I was signed up and now I had to wait until I got a letter that they MAIL to you to be able to sign on. (I guess they do this to make sure you are not trying to get someone else's credit report.) So, now my 30 days are ticking by and I can't see what my creidt report or score is yet. I hope I get it this week sometime. I will cancel it after I pull my report and my credit number.

The credit scores are not offered for free unless you sign up for one of those 30 day trials. I have found a gauge which is free, but it willl not give you an exact number. It is only to be used as a guide.
