bankruptcy twice since moving to Montana but because of 'snafus' neither one was ever filed. I was wondering how long the creditors have to sue me in the state of Utah before the statute of limitations expires. I was also wondering what if any difference it makes that I'm now living in Montana. Thanks.

I made payment arrangements with the hospital on a bill from May and have been paying regularly every month. In November, my insurance company finished processing my claim and made a substantial payment. My next statement from the hospital did not reflect my previous payment arrangements. I have left several messages with the business office for the hospital to straighten this out but no one calls back. I've been making my previously agreed on monthly payments while trying to get in touch with the hospital. Today, I got a letter from a collection agency. I called the collection agency and it's not one of those dumby letters sent to scare you into paying. My question is, is this legal?? I thought that as long as I had made payment arrangements and was meeting them, I could not be sent to collections. Any back up you can give would be really helpful for when I try calling the hospital back again tomorrow. Thanks!!

I recently lost my job, my family and everything. During the repossession of my car, i had important paperwork like my US passport and some military service records. Upon calling the finance company they refused to tell me which recovery company they used and wont give me information on how to get the paperwork back. Is this legal? Will this influence the judgement of relief in my favor?

but I still have a pretty good amount of debt to pay off because I opened up more credit cards while the consolidation was in effect. Would it be a bad idea to start up another consolidation program? My credit score is running in the mid 600's right now.

I recenty travelled to Asia and withrew $ several times using my ATM card. Before the trip I scheduled a online payment for my credit card bill which would happen few days before I came back . When I returned and used my card 1 week later, I discovered the bank had blocked my card and all transactions I had entered into the system before my trip, including my credit card payment which should have happended a week before.

As soon as I knew the problem (which the only notification from the bank was a message on my account online access page), I paid my overdue credit card immediately. But it was still a late payment, and the credit card charged me interest. And because it is calculated based on the daily balance and I was travelling in that month, the inrerest was pretty high. To make the matter worse, I have to pay interest 2 months in a row (due to residual interest).

Now I want to ask my bank to pay me back the interest I had to pay the credit card. How should I convince them?

i have had 5 credit cards go to collections and become closed. i then got around to finally paying them with a plan. well i now have paid off 4 of the 5 credit cards. the last one remaining is paid on a monthly basis on time. one of the ones i just paid off was at a lawyer firm and he said i made good enough payments to be put on a clear credit program, where i pay a certain amount, it gets paid off, and they erase it from your credit report as if it never existed. so my question is...being with that, if it makes my credit look better, what about the other ones i paid off, because i know they stay on your report for 7-10 years, so will that help me out credit wise, or just be one less negative thing? i am in need of getting qualified for a student loan and this delinquencies on my report are stopping me. help?

This website allows users to post their story, their picture and an amount of money they wish to borrow. Others can search through the postings and offer money at certain interest rates. You can either give the whole loan amount or just a small portion of it.
