www.annualcreditreport.com its free. federal requirement that your credit be accessable for free. The actual credit number will cost about $6 I think. but the credit standing you have with current and past creditors is available. Your report is also downloadable.

Call 1800-888-4213. This is the number to Trans Union. Follow the instructions for the automated message. Answer the questions along side with inputing your personal information. They will ask if you just want a fico score with the credit report say "yes"(it says that it cost $5 but they will give it to you for free ones a year). You will get this is a week or Two, But this credit report has a lot more info. than a regular one and will not lower your score. You are only intitled to 1 free credit report a year. Remember if you run your credit more than 3 time in a short time this will affect it.

The US government made it a law that you are entitled to a free credit report every year. Last year I was able to search with google, and I found a place that really did give me a free report with no gimmicks, but I have lost the bookmark for it.

I tried looking just now, and it's all those cheesy companies that want you to pay money to monitor your credit. My advice to you is to contact your bank, and ask them if they know how you get the real deal from all three reporting agencies for free. They may know what the website is.

Your other option is contacting your local state government. Tell them that you know you are entitled by law to a free credit report and score once yearly, but that you are having a hard time finding an absolutely free source. They should either be able to direct you to the right place, or refer you to someone who can.

Good luck.

www.annualcreditreport.com

That is the website you can go to and instantly receive your credit report. My suggestion to you: Only request one report at a time, that way you can go back and retrieve your other two at later dates. You can then receive your credit reports every four months.

If you are referring to your "FICO" score or similar like "BEACON" , the only place you can get them is from one of the three main Bureaus. Equifax, Xperian or TransUnion. To my knowledge they will not provide the "score" free. It normally costs about $5. each.
The free report you are entitled to does not include the credit score. (At least not at this time)
