If they return it, will they give me Cash, Gift Card or store credit?

Yes you can return them without a receipt up to 90 days. Anything over $20 they will put on a gift card for you to use within the store.
They don't test electronics when you return them. They simply have a sales associate from the electronics dept check to make sure that all accompanying parts are in the box and the cashier gives you your refund before sending you on your way.

Not much chance that they will give you cash...since it might be considered an electronic item they will probably send it to someone to test it (be prepared to wait 15 or so minutes while they do that) to make sure that the speakers are not blown) and then they will probably give you a store credit/gift for the lowest sale price in the last ninety days.

I can't remember needing to return anything to WalMart and not having the receipt. But I doubt that they do. Good news is, you CAN sell it at Game Stop for a good price if it remains unopened and then buy another game with that money.
