Hi! Two questions. First, I applied for a Citibank mtvU credit card for college students, having never had a credit card before, and got an email a couple days later asking for a copy of my student ID, tuition bill paid, phone bill, and utility bill, and if the phone bill isn't in my name, then a bank statement in my name/address. The first two I can do, no problem, but the phone bill and utility bill I can't because I live on campus and don't own a phone. I could technically ask my mom for those, but I would rather avoid a fight if I ca.

So one: Do you think I can just send in my bank statement with my name/address right (and the first two) or must I somehow do something about the phone and utility bill.

Two: they said if they don't receive it within 30 days, the application will be considered withdrawn. If I just let it go, would having applied hurt my credit score (and would the withdrawn be seen as a rejection)? And if so, should I apply for a different one soon after?

I currently have a bill on my credit that I am being held liable for, that is not my responsibility. How long does it take for it to go away? Does it matter on the amount, source, or is it just a set time?

let say ur a bank n u loan joe $600k to buy a house at 5% interest. joe pays u interest+principle over 30yrs. how can u still make $$ if joe only pays u back, say, $1000 a mo. when ur alrdy out $600k up front. in addition, ur lending more $$$ to other ppl as well n they, like joe, r only paying u fractions of what they owe over the course of 30yrs. u hv to be a gazillionaire to do this kind of biz. i just don't understand how banks (or credit card co.) make $$$ by doing this.

the reason i ask is b/c somebody told me that lenders dont pay much attention to medical collections.....IS THIS TRUE?

i pulled my credit report and was able to see several medical collections. i was unaware of this and while i was trying to track down my debts to pay them, i just felt like i was being tossed around by collection agencies. im not sure if i should stress about trying to figure all this out and get these medical bills paid or what. other than that my credit is great. what should i do?

Is it better to pay to the actual company or collection agency. Will doing so remove it from collections on my credit report or will it matter?

I am thinking for filing for bankruptcy, and I wanted to know if anyone has done it before so they can give me a few pointers. I know I should talk to a lawyer but I called one and he was acting like a dic* so if anyone out there has done this let me know what are the steps. I am going to tell you this I am working (but getting paid garbage) I do own a house, and I am married. If not pls forward me to someone or somewhere to go get some help on this matter.

lets say i owe a cc company 100 dollars and my interest charge is 5%... do i pay them 5% of what i owe every month? so its would be like 105 the first month? then 110.25 the second month? lets just say i dont have any late fees... so it would just keep going like that until i pay it all off?
