I was offered a loan for $10,000 which I applied for online. The lender is based in New York. She discussed a $1500.00 fee which is MANDATORY for loan credit insurance. The deposit is refundable after the loan is paid off. Is this legal, to force someone to buy credit insurance even if it's refundable?

My husband recently struggled on some finances and found himself 4-5 months behind on many things. Now we have 3 reposession notices for his quad, motorhome and trailor. The thing is this dropped our credit scores down to the 490-550 range which is AWFUL when 6 months ago it was up in the 650-700 range. The thing is I own a home and a business and I am a high end manager at the resort casino.
I have been deperately seeking a loan for $100,000, that specific amount of money would pay off everything on my husbands and my credit. The cars, cards, motorhome etc. and bring us down to 1 monthly payment with TONS of collateral!! This would save our lives at the moment! We have 3 daughters and are struggling tremendously to catch up but we can't find anyone to help us!! corrinam2003@yahoo.com

I would like to find out an appx. number of U.S. workers that need to cash paychecks at non-traditional banking locations due to the inability to open a traditional bank account. This inability may be due to sub par credit or other.

The office secretary has gotten into a mental state where my coworkers and I all believe she is a certifiably paranoid schizophrenic, with delusions. She is especially targeting some of the coworkers with delusional accusations. Based on her mental state, and the fact that she has all of our social security numbers and personal information, I was wondering what kind of preventative measures can be taken. (I've already called credit issuing agencies for a credit fraud watch, but that is only temporary) Thanks, in advance!

How is he able to do this? im happy for him but im not sure he knows exactly what hes in for? how do mortgage companies look at that? is it because he has a good income that they would allow that?

I made big mistakes in my life. I have one maxed out $1000 credit card, another $900 maxed out credit card, another $400 maxed out credit card, and another one that I owe $400 in. How do I pay for all this and get this straight? I work two jobs and live at home. I make about $720 a month. About how long would it take? Much appreciated.

I am 47. I am divorced from a marriage that was hell in every way including abuse. I stayed too long, however and let him take away my self esteem and ruin my credit. I ended up having to sell my house as it was in foreclosure. I now only have around 45K to my name and live in an apartment. I found a great guy two years ago whom I am engaged to and live with. He does not make a lot (2K or so a month). It about covers the bills. (His credit mar is an old bankruptcy) I work sporadically since I am an artist and designer. There is not much in the way of decent paying jobs otherwise though I am looking. I still have some debt from the past. I feel depressed that I lost so much and that I may be too old to recover and regroup. I would like some financial as well as personal advice regarding all this. I would love to make money off the little money I have or find a way to own a home again. Can anyone offer advice. I am depressed quite a bit over the circumstances that led me to failure.

I asked them for proof (copy of credit application) they said they don't have and all they can give me is a signed statement from the bank that it was opened in my name(but the bank could of made a mistake). I never received any correspondence from the credit card company or the collection agency and this account has never showed up on my credit report until now. I found out about it in November 2006 when my credit score dropped because of this. I contacted Equifax(all they did was contact collection agency that entered the inaccurate data) and the the collection agency. Agency said the last pmt made was 9/2001 I asked where was statements being mailed cause they never came to me. They say I have to pay, but this is not mine. I have excellent credit with low interest, this is going to make my interest rate jump to over 24%. What can I do? Shouldn't they have to give me proof. Do they have to take this off my credit report until this is settled? Help!
Thank you.
