Stafford student loans are guaranteed by the federal government and do not require a credit check or a co-signer. Simply fill out a FAFSA. You can get a paper FAFSA from any college financial aid office or you can complete it online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The amounts you can get are based on your need, your income and the year you are in at school (freshman, senior, etc). First complete your FAFSA. Once you have done that go see a financial aid person at your school to get any paperwork that might be required by your specific college. Good luck - hope this helped.

To get a loan as a full time student banks require that you have a co-signer with sufficient income and good credit you won't be able to get a loan. You might quality for a loan if you have a job and attend school; however, most banks require a co-signer if you have bad credit and go to school full time.

You might want to talk to your school's financial aid representative and see what they say. Some schools have loans that you can apply for and recieve money, some schools have scholarships that are available, and some schools will try to set up a payment plan.

Good Luck.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

You don't need credit to get a student loan. They are guaranteed by the U.S. government. Go see a counselor at the financial aid office at your school.

www.FAFSA.com You can apply here for a grant. This is for all of the U.S.A. The next time to apply is towards the end of Feb. and before Mar.15th. Don't expect approval right away, but if you keep applying and let them know which College (local) that you want to go to you will get information from both the college and them every time that it is time to apply. Credit doesn't matter. Determination does!!!!
