Yes, all business with financial institutions helps. Get a debit and credit card. Use it for a few things that you will pay off at the end of the month when the bill comes. If you buy a car make sure all payments are on time. All utility bills are on time and rent . Then when you have a card offered to you get it and use it enough to keep it active but, pay it off every month. don't get in over your head and make a credit nightmare. Just do what you can and no more. Over time you will establish a good report and it will be time to use it for that house or whatever. Your job is also a plus when trying to borrow for anything. the longer you are at the job and the salary you make are helpful. Good luck.

Yes, -by all means, open a checking and savings account. THEN, after about 6 to 9 months, ask your bank for a Credit Card (most banks have their own C. Cards nowadays). Once you get that card, start making purchases & paying them off- you'll be on your way to establishing a credit history...

Yes..opening a back account would help. I would also suggest that you apply for a small credit card. Start charging small purchases on the card and pay the full amount back at the end of the month. Do this consistently and you will be on a healthy track to building a solid credit line.

no, bank accounts don't show on your credit report. just apply for credit cards or a personal loan. Once you get credit cards or a loan somewhere then you start building your credit.
